we bought a chair earlier in the year, it stunk to high heaven, we contacted Ikea and eventually they said it was the fire retardant and we would have to return it, they would not consider sending us a new cover, We are in our seventies and an hour and a half from nearest branch. We put chair in garage of a few weeks as there was no way we could have it indoors, and the smell gradually subsided.
Recently bought a table and cabinet- of course a necessary part was missing. We e -mailed twice but no response at all and nobody answers the 'phone. We will never buy furniture from Ikea again
