Lily Lolo Mineral Cosmetics Mineral Foundation

I've been using the lily lolo mineral foundation for a few weeks now and am just over the moon to have found something that truely makes me look like an air-brushed but totally natural version of me!!! :) I have skin that tends to get so dry in patches that I occasionally get excema, and I also have an oily t-zone. My skin is also a typical pale English Rose with pink tones. I have never found a single foundation that didn't look yellow, caked and dirty on me. The lily lolo one is incredible though. I wear candy cane or candy cane mixed with porcelain to match my natural pink undertone and it looks just beautiful. The silk finishing powder gives a dewy finish all over and I put a touch of matt finishing powder on my nose to hold off over-shinyness there. This stayed put and still looked great after running and dance sessions!

The trick to good application on my dry skin seems to be a good moisturiser. I tried it once without moisturising first and it looked a bit powdery and felt drying. But I found if you use plenty of moisturiser (I mix my favourite with a touch of BB cream) and let it sink in before applying the mineral foundation, it transforms the effect. It seems to create a lovely dewy finish and when I remove the makeup each day my skin seems to be becoming more healthy underneath! The exczema is already gone! I recommend giving this a go if you have dry/mature skin. Just make sure you use a good moisturiser as a base :)

I have had combination skin for as long as I can remember ( I am 50). I also have uneven skin tone. I have tried just about every liquid foundation going and it always looked greasy after a few hours and I had dry flaky patches at the sides of my nose. I read about Lily Lolo in the Times about 2 years ago and sent off for a sample of Blondie. I've not used anything else since. It stays on all day and gives an incredibly natural and glowing look. You can build it up to cover blemishes and uneven skin tones so the coverage is excellent too. My daughter has also switched to Lily Lolo after trying mine. She has a yellowy skin tone which is quite hard to match a foundation to, yet she found a perfect match. I also use the blusher which also gives a natural, warm looking glow. People always comment about how well I look and what lovely skin I have. I don't look 'made-up' at all and don't even feel as if I am wearing foundation. It is quick and easy to apply. One pot lasts for around 3 months (I wear it nearly every day) so it makes for excellent value for money too. The delivery is always really fast too(1 - 2 days). I'm not as taken with the eye shadow as I am with the foundation and blusher. The colours I've tried have always looked too matte and too heavy. I'm not too keen on the texture and prefer Boots No.7 though it doesn't last as long or stay on as well. I have also tried Lily lolo lip gloss and found it is the only one not to give me sore lips. It was quite sticky though (as most glosses seem to be) and only for that reason have I not ordered it again.

Not the best product available on the market. Foundation colour range seems to be wide; however most of the colours are really disappointing.

I have been keen to try mineral makeup for a while now, but have always been quite skeptical as to whether it would live up to it's great reputation. I ordered some samples of the lily lolo makeup from the website and it arrived very quickly (2 days). I did not have the proper brushes, just a few old ones but even with these it still made my skin look flawless! It gave me the same coverage as my normal liquid foundation would. I was very impressed at how it felt like I was wearing no makeup at all, the concealer was fab too. What impressed me the most was how it reduced the size of my pores dramatically, you could hardly see them! I have always been worried about the makeup I was putting on my face as I always felt cakey and would break out quite a lot. I feel happy putting this makeup on knowing that it has no harsh chemicals. Very happy with this product and I am now in the process of ordering some full size tubs of the makeup and their brushes too. Would never go back to the horrible cakey liquid foundation after trying this!

It really fulfils the promise of mineral make up.

For the 1st time ever I've got a foundation that matches my skintone, and the Translucent finishing Silk leaves my skin flawless but natural. Everyone keeps telling me how well I look.

It also has no hidden 'nasties' unlike Elizabeth Arden which I had used for 6 months before discovering it was full of parabens, for me one of the main reasons for using minerals.

And the price is so reasonable I'm going to get it for birthday presents for friends.

So you see I think this is a fantastic product, and I've had lots of make up experience as I'm a 61 year old ex model!

Absolutely brilliant product, a really natural coverage. Doesn't last all day but can easily top it up after a couple of hours. Doesn't make you're skin feel cloggy. I use the foundation and the concealer every day after changing from another foundation that used to give me really bad skin. I have never had any further problems since switching to this product as it is so light. The company itself is brilliant as well, very reasonable price compared with other products on the market and delivery always so reliable and can guarantee it comes within 2 days. Never had a problem with the company at all. Would highly reccomend :)

This is a great product once you have got used to applying it. If you get too much on your brush then it can looked a little overdone on your face, however when you get that right, it really does look great. I have used Lancome foundation for 20 years, however have found this gives a far more natural finish and blends in really well. The samples are a great idea to find the right colour for you. The makeup lasts all day. I would definately recommend this to anyone considering converting to mineral make-up.

I ordered a sample of the 'in the buff' foundation and the 'nude' concealer. I've never tried mineral foundation before but I'm really impressed. I don't generally wear foundation because I find liquid versions don't sit nice on my skin so I thought I'd give mineral a try and I love it. I was sceptical that a powder concealer would cover much but I was really suprised and actually like it even more than the foundation. I've ordered 2 more sample shades of the foundation to make sure I get the best shade for my skin before I order a full size pot but I definitely will order one.

I usually use Clarins products, including foundation, but wanted to try mineral foundation because of the hype and to avoid over-using products containing parabens. I've found LilyLolo mineral foundation by far the best mineral foundation out there; the colours work well with my skin tone (which is fair and yellow toned) brilliantly, it's a great finish, it contains totally natural ingredients with no chemical preservatives and it's a fraction of the price of others. This is a truly great product and I have been purchasing it now for two and a half years.

I switched to Lily Lolo because I like the brand. I have tried the top brands and this one tops my list. I like the fact that they come out with new looks and have sales on a regular basis.
