I have ordered my 6000 Dannish kroner on Wednesday 13th Aug and have requested that I needed my money by 15th Aug. I received the confirmation email of receipt of my payment (£653 rate @9.17, £658 including admin fee) on Thursday 14th at 14:18. However, I only received the confirmation email of despatch on Friday 15th Aug 1pm. The postman only came at 11:22 on 16th Aug after I have left for the airport at 11am.
I understand that there is no guarantee for next day delivery, which will be Thursday? or Friday? the following day after they received my payment. However, I find it very frustrating that I had not been told that the money would not arrive in time. There should be a cancellation or refund policy if the money did not arrive in time.
I called Travel Fx and asked for a refund or asked them to take back the money. The only way they offered was to fill in the buy back form online. I asked them about the rate which is @10.35. There is £73 difference! With all these hassles, not getting my travel money for my trip, and now they want another £73 from me plus going to post office and send the money back with Royal Mail Special Delivery!
I will never use Travel FX again! There is no guarantee for anything! They can despatch your money whenever they want, your money can be three days late, a week late etc.
