mitac's review of Bamix Slicesy

★★☆☆☆

“Poor Quality”

Written on: 25/05/2013 by mitac (12 reviews written)

The Bamix Slicesy looks good and works ok till the main drive starts slipping which mine has done , I have only had it for about 12 months and at forst was ok then shredding slicing carrots for a cowslaw it began to jam ,
so though I will have a look inside its a metal shaft to place the bamix on then after that to my amazement the gearing is all plastic it was the main drive slipping , there are no split pins to stop the cog from coming loose just pushed on or molded on , so to me is a total design fault and for the money as there are not a cheap item and not fit for purpose ,
I would not recomend this product until BAMIX sort a metal cogged gearbox out . i think Bamix should at least mention the gearing is plastic
