We are a non-profit charity that works internationally. We have stock, online/offline sale, provide services, hire part time contractors and full time staff. Accounting is normally a bit of a headache if you're not 'into it'... but we love it know!! Kashflow has made life easier (and cheaper!).

Whether it is simple book-keeping, or more in-depth financial analysis, we want to do as much of it in-house as possible to keep our expenses at a minimum. We debated software packages such as Quickbooks and Sage, which we have often used in the past. But instead, we opted for trying out Kashflow. Hands down one of the best experiences we have had with accounting to date. It is extremely flexible- there is nothing that can't be adjusted to suit our needs. It even logs our paypal income through a direct feed, which is a huge time-saver.

They have a great and flexible reporting system too. Anything else you need, you can always ask them. The only downside is you can't call them; they feel this is provides for better customer, but it also means a slower reply. But at least your reply is a good one!

Hello

Our association is also a charity. We have partial, exempt and normal VAT. We may very well be transferring to this system; however VAT reporting is a bit tricky with this system.

Have you had a similar experience and if so would you be willing to share your outcome with us?

Hi

Our charity is based in Belgium and operates throughout Europe. As such, we do not benefit from VAT exemption, so our needs are slightly different.

We do keep records of the different rates we pay for our own purposes and have found that the reporting is good enough for this.

I have found the staff very helpful in sorting out any issues, so get in touch with them. If you need anything specific I am sure they will be able to help out. Do note though that it is only an email support system- there is no phone calls. This is alright, except that it can take some back and forth to get an issue sorted out.
That said, I have done a lot of research, and this is by far the best solution for our needs.
