Rented a property from Connells ended My tenancy agreement after 18 months didnt sign a new agreement to stay in the flat give one notice that I was leaving now they have said that must pay until the New tenant moves in change me arrears as well and have said that I will not get my depost back as well The property has now been re-let and a new tenant will taking up their tenancy on the 11th October meaning my rent liability will cease on the 10th October.
We are unable to release the deposit to yourself unless a mutual agreement has been met between you and your landlord. If a mutual agreement cannot be met, you will have to raise a case with the TDS (Tenancy Deposit Scheme). If want a flat or House go someware else you have been warned.
