I would recommend Darlows letting agents in Merthyr was brilliant showing me around the house answers all my questions and has kept me up to date with the application I put in for the house.

Do notuse this company ! They do not return calls or emails. Having lost a family member and providing them with all the relevant information back in October they are holding rent which they should not be making it impossible for the widow of the deceased to pay the mortgage. Shocking customer service, no empathy at all and rude unhelpful staff

I let my flat by this aganecy and tried to sell it with them. They are teh worst agancey ever. Property management was very poor, so my tenant left out with not a good service just because they havent informed me about any issues. And the other issue on selling process was they havent chcked teh source of money of the buyer . So i had a big financial missing just because i trusted them. Never go to them if you want to have your peace.

Found all the staff very helpful and friendly. Also, they had good advice and knowledge about the local area. Found them an excellent agent.

For some reason Darlows insist on listing properties with "guide" prices, be under no illusion that if you offer the lower 'guide' price it will not be accepted as there is a fictional other buyer offering higher. Darlows clearly knew the property I was interested in had a VERY poor structural report but still allowed me to progress with surveys etc costing in excess of £800, money which was all lost. All in all a poor service. Guide review of 1 to 1.5 stars !!!!!

Just purchased a property advertised by Darlows in Brynmawr, thank you for her help during the process, from accommodating my visits, to acting a go between between all parties to get the sale done and keeping me up to date, very helpful and nothing too much trouble.

Darlows were supposed to value my property but couldn't be bothered to turn up. I had travelled 20 miles to make the appointment so a phone call would have been nice.

I have just been reading previous reviews and from the dealings I have had with the Merthyr office I have found them to be excellent. We had problems with our solicitors but Darlows helped us out on every occasion and were fantastic with their support. They smoothed the journey and could not have completed without them so my thanks to their team. Thank you once again to all the staff in Merthyr. Well done and when I move again I will ask Darlows to assist me that is if I move again.5

I would recommend Darlows Merthyr Tydfil to any landlord's looking for an excellent service. All staff are very helpful and friendly.

Today, finally, seven months after Darlows started marketing our "Vacant Possession. No Chain. Priced for Quick Sale" house we actually achieved completion of the sale. And an hour ago we had an e-mail from Darlows saying that they have received an offer for the property! This sums up the poor service they have given. They are the most expensive agents in the area, and we expected good, and quick, service from them. But we soon learnt that little happened if we didn't chivvy them up and that we couldn't rely on the truth of what they told us. Only when the initial contract period was coming to an end and we wrote them a stiff letter saying that if they did not buck their ideas up we would move to another agent did they stir themselves to offer a reasonable service. As a result the sale has now been achieved. The staff were all very courteous and there is no complaint on that score. But politeness is not enough.

Darlows are letting my house - absolute shambles. Never, ever again.

We put our house up for sale with Darlows expecting a great service. We were very interested in a property Darlows had on their books so we thought it would go very smoothly but how wrong we were ! We put in an offer which we were told by Darlows this was accepted by the vendor. About two weeks later we received a letter to say that our offer was rejected. So in the meantime we had put our house on the market with them to sell as we were told it would sell very quickly because they have a lot of people on their books waiting for a house like ours. We decided to take our property off the market due to Darlows being unprofessional. As soon as my wife said this to one of the assistants at Darlows low and behold she said they have a cash buyer and they want to view asap. What a load of bo@$cks ! Stick your contract up your arsenal.

Tonypandy darlows are an absolute shambles. How any of them are in work is beyond me! They're lazy, unprofessional and could do with going on a public relations course. They have no idea how to talk to people in person or on the phone. If your selling a house, sell elsewhere.

Never even set foot in this estate agents and your life will be so much better for it. They are the most incompetent lot of useless idiots in Cardiff. They will happily give you mis information about properties, try to recommend extortionate solicitors (who work in partnership with them), promise to get quotes and estimates done that they never organise. Never apologise when they make mistakes., and basically make your life a living hell. Oh and are late for property viewings. Unfortunately they have the lions share of the cardiff property market, lets try and change this because they shouldn't even be in business.

Darlows Merthyr Branch ---What a joke!!! I have tried to rent a house off them Viewing was at 5pm they turned up at 5.20! when I walked into property there was three other couples viewing at the same time!! Totally unprofessional! As I was not told. Then we did decide to put in for house, got told there was 250 fee! Which I paid the following day by card this was for them to do all checks etc. I advised them I want to move on the 28th (yesterday) as I get my monthly pay and can pay bond and rent, this was no problem, on the day before moving day I called to find out how I get the keys , at branch or at house. Later to find out that they aint even started checks yet !! was told ‘aww sorry I thought someone else was doing it and she thought I was doin it so it wasn’t done’! this has finally got done but my credit scoring wasn’t high enough… so im 250 down no house to move into and have already gave my current landlord my notice…this should have been done two weeks ago!! I would of never given in my notice!! Or paid 250!!! DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH THE DALOWS MERTHYR BRANCH!

Darlowes sold my late mother -in -laws house in Cardiff. We engaged the LLandaff branch to sell it the service was disgusting on one of the viewings the property was damaged, the complaint procedures are disgraceful and even though they apologised over the damage felt it was acceptable for the property to get damaged
