This was the second time in this carvery and the last. When you enter the restaurant you order your drinks at the cage bar and pay for your food. My wife had a small bottle of coke but was not offered the bottle as they are not allowed into the restaurant, why who knows, if there not allowed why have them there? She had to drink some of her drink at the bar and ask for the remainder to be poured into her glass.
You get your table and queue for you food, when they remove the covers you then get your first glimpse at the food. All the meat was dry and overcooked on the outside and raw in the middle, the veg was dry and overcooked but try the next container the veg in this one was undercooked, its like a very bad episode of cant cook cant cook.
It may only be £4.99 but you get what you pay for, for the sake of a few miles up the road at Basildon or Brentwood you can get a Toby carvery which is so much better.
