decided to upgrade our oven and hob package December 2015 having had a perfectly adequate hob and oven that came with the kitchen,done for cosmetic purposes having not missed a beat in 5 years!!...wish i could say the same for the new Russell Hobbs package i purchased from Tesco direct,first oven came dented and have to have a replacement and pay the fitter extra for coming back,then 13 months later oven wont work informed by RUSSELL HOBBS we had not activated the 2nd years warranty which to be honest did not know we had to as never expected a none to cheap branded package to be broken within 13 months they agreed to fix it to be fair an engineer came out said he knew what the problem was and would order relevant part,3-4 weeks later a different engineer came to fit said part only to inform us that part was not the problem!! and he would have to order another part,another 2 weeks have passed oven still not fixed,sick of takeaway food and the inconvenience caused by this,a terrible service all round....how i wish i had kept my happy shopper oven that came free with the kitchen,5 years and never let us down once,which is more than i can say for not only Russell Hobbs oven but their most shabby after sales service,been a nightmare as my wife said with the expense of take away food,eating out and the inconvenience of phones calls being in for engineers visits,would have been as cheap to buy a brand new oven!!!!
