I purchased this expensive 4 plate cooktop, (with a two year warranty), 5 years ago.Twelve months after the warranty expired the Right Hand Side Powerboard failed and the two right side hot plates ceased to work. To my surprise after a month or so the Right Board started working again, but alas not for long, on again - off again. The Right Board has now been out for the past six months and I am having a new cooktop installed next week. Definately not de Dietrich. Throughout this period the de dietrich service department in Sydney haven't wanted to know. "Out of warranty mate, end of story". emails to them remain unanswered and phone calls get nowhere. In summary my experience, poor quality product and equally bad service.
