Carcaptain have delayed payment to their Instructors on a regular basis, and owe an Instructor for 31 lessons completed before the lockdown, and still haven't paid. Another Instructor is owed for 100 lessons completed before the lockdown, and still haven't paid them; disgusting. This created much hardship during the lockdown itself, and with no communication from them from the beginning of lockdown to the end of July, and then demanded the full car payments for the entire lockdown period, amounting to nearly £3000.00, when Instructors were not allowed to work. Steer clear of this company, and go with them at your peril.

Carcaptain are an excellent company. From my initial conversation with a sales team member in the office to meeting my instructor. I was advised on what package I should get and I got a real family feel for their business and care about their customers, not some of these big call centre type places I've had to deal with in the past. My instructor was truly wonderful - calm, always professional, friendly and supportive. I had no confidence at all when I met him and had been through many instructors in the past (around 15 years!) and with just 20 hours with him I passed my test first time. I'm so glad I met him as I could not have done it without him.

Hadn't driven for 2 years but had 20 hours of previous experience, did a 15 hour intensive one week course with Sahyed, who really got my confidence back, and passed after 5 days of driving! I had never done manoeuvres before or any of the technicalities, but Shayed made me grasp them quickly and I always felt calm during my lessons with him- couldn't recommend him more! thanks!!!! I contacted Carcaptain because I wanted to do an intensive driving course. I had a set amount of time to allocate to lessons and I needed to make sure I passed first time. I had driving lessons many years ago with the AA and it knocked my confidence and put me off buying more lessons or trying again with a different company. I spoke to Carcaptain and voiced all of my concerns and from the very beginning they did all they could to incorporate everything I would need in the timeframe I had. The instructor that was recommended was not only knowledgeable and professional, but really pushed me to achieve my potential without being patronising or making me feel frustrated. After all, the best teachers are able to teach in different styles and tailor the learning method to the student. I passed my test the first time after having learnt to drive with Carcaptain and couldn't recommend them more highly. I intend to recommend them to friends and colleagues who have yet to pass as I believe their lessons not only to be of good quality but at reasonable prices too.

This was the worst experience of my life. Awful company that do not care for the customer's concerns. The manager was extremely rude, gave me misleading information throughout our contact. I signed up for intensive and they gave me an instructor who could only do two hours a day - not what I paid for. He would shout and make me feel stupid. When I had to cancel my course due to the disorganisation by the company and the awful service they still have not refunded me nor apologised for wasting my time and money. Stay away from this company.

car captain are an excellent driving school. got me up to speed for my test in weeks. really helpful team found me a test exceptionally fast. overall excellent service, friendly team and people who go above and beyond what is required - 3 hour and longer lessons. 7 am lessons, nothing is too much for them. I can't stress enough what a wonderful team this is and would recccomend 100 percent.

I was a really nervous driver and at over 30 I'd almost given up. I never thought I'd pass my test, but I needed to for my job so did lots of research and came across Car Captain. Right from my first conversation with the person I dealt with I knew he'd get me through. I did a Guaranteed Pass course and really think it is absolutely the best way forward - it takes the stress out of weekly lessons and just 'gets the job done'. I never imagined I would pass first time but I did, and therefore got money back from Car Captain making it very cost-effective. Car Captain have a fixed end-game from the start and with the online tutorials it is really well structured to not only get you through your test, but more importantly make you a safe and responsible driver. Big thanks to the person I dealt with and the team!

After screaming and shouting in the car on first lesson whilst rolling cigarettes then proceeding to smoke them, my instructor stopped showing up because of wife dramas. So when I had to cancel they wouldn't give my money back complete waist of time. Miserable experience.

Having wasted more than 1 year learning to drive and failing 3 times with one of the most renowned UK driving outfit, I happened to come across Carcaptain by chance over the internet. Carcaptain's guaranteed pass course is the best and helped me pass in less than four weeks from start to finish!!! Other companies are only concerned about getting maximum driving lessons out of you, so that they can make money. They do not see learner's needs, they are only concerned about giving you a 2 hour lesson and move on to another learner to maximise money. Reasons CarCaptain is Excellent (5/5): - My instructor understood my problem areas, rather than giving me general driving advice, he worked on my problem areas. After my initial assessment, he suggested the guaranteed pass course and I am so glad I took that option. I could see the difference in 2 lessons. My old habits especially around roundabouts, he corrected these using different techniques. You can expect extremely personable style from the driving instructor. - My instructor helped me through trick spots in the test route. He made me complete manoeuvres and took me through common test routes many many times over. So on the test day it was like driving in your own backyard. My instructor came across as someone genuinely wanting to help the candidate 'Pass'. Sitting in the driver seat, every learner wants to 'Pass'. If the other driving schools are only concerned about getting maximum lessons out of you, the learner is already in a weak position. Carcaptain on the other hand helped me 'Pass' never once discussing money and payments during driving lesson, which was always the case with the other driving outfit. Each lesson ended with a discussion about money with the previous driving company. - Carcaptain's admin staff are super efficient and super excellent. They helped me get a test date that I wanted and that too within 2 weeks as requested by me. They provide just the right level of support a learner needs. I passed with two minors in Loughton in April 2014 and can say one thing, try CarCaptain, they are really the Best Car Learner Company out there.

Car captain are the worst company I have experienced. They have no customer service qualities whatsoever. I even told them I would write a bad review and they couldn't care less. The employees are disorganised not all I had a nice encounter with one of them namely A but the others including the managing director of the company and rude and only care about taking the money from your pockets. On the other hand I can't give them 1 star like I wish I could because the instructor was very good and their booking services are quick. I have asked for a refund and I am having to pay the cancellation fee. I even had to pay the card transaction fee once. I don't know what's going on with the admin side of the company but it is disorganise. And I for one have had enough of their terrible service. If your someone who doesn't mind spending a fortune and receiving rubbish service in the process then car captain is the one for you. The manager was the west one and the last straw for me personally. They aren't exactly cheap and for what I am paying I expecting a decent amount of service. Even when speaking with the manager he said that I have contacted the company too many times. If you can hire the instructors directly do so. The admin side of things is absolute rubbish.

I failed my car practice test and was desperate to retake it and find a date as my theory was expiring 2 wks after. called the car captain, and then find me an available date 2 days b4 the expiring date. Finally, I passed my driving test. I would 100% recommend you. thanks a lot guys.

Car captain were so helpful and supportive through my driving process. They helped me so much and gave me heaps of extra support. My instructor was absolutely amazing. He was thorough, clear, and full of such easy formulas to help me with manoeuvres, and within that, he was also so calm, happy and just absolutely awesome!!! Thank you car captain!

I was very happy with the level of service I received from Carcaptain .. I got both theory and practical tests very quick and Carcaptain didn't leave anything to chance.. They provided me with all I needed to pass both tests first time ... Overall I would deffo recommend them as without them I would still be without a driving license..

I have ah driving lessons in the past and always quit before the test, so decided to do an intensive course in a week over half term. The staff in the office at Car Captain are very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. They recommended I do 25 hours and I did this over 7 days. The cost is very reasonable, especially since they book the test for you included in the price. Instructor was fantastic and said the intensive course was a good way to learn. It was exhausting, and I couldn't really do anything else that week as so tired after driving. But passed first time at Chingford and it was totally worth it!

Your customer service is outstanding. The advisor is extremely helpful and on top of things. Ali was my instructer and I thought that he was very good.
