Bizarre, Abusive, And Total Time Wasters!
We were at the receiving end of truly appalling and frighteningly bizarre treatment from Protech, part of the BB Group supplying secondary glazing.
We asked for ONE variation to a quote, and were accused of time-wasting.
We didn't think our request was unreasonable, when you considered the sums involved. In fact, it ought to have demonstrated that we were serious buyers.
Clearly the person dealing with our enquiry didn't think so, and subjected us to a stream of abuse and threats. He was at best rude, and at worst having either a nervous breakdown or suffering from some sort of paranoia.
We didn’t waste anymore of our time, and went to another supplier, whose customer enquiry team live on the same planet as us!

All was well until this mornings phone to customer services. I phoned the main reception and asked for customer services - the person on the end of the phone said "this sounds like a complaint" to which I replied "No, not really". He also stated "We don't have a customer services department as such"
He then said "I've been warned about you - a problem with a lock" - again I replied "No", then he went on to say "A problem with a door" again I replied no and this loop continued until he asked me what the issue was (at this point alarm bells should have been ringing).......
I explained that I though I had bought the conservatory with Window boards and he asked me to email them the details. I advised him that I had emailed them multiple times and received the same "We will look into this right away" reply each time and that in over 3 months they had failed to resolve the issue or even further contact me.
The conversation turned quite heated at this point, however I remained calm and polite and asked if I could buy the Window boards as I desperately want to finish the project. He them told me that the reason the conservatory did not come with window boards is because "they do not sell them and he knew this as he owned the company". I pointed out that in the email before the actual sale, they were listed at £45 which is why I expected them to be included. He then said to forward that email.........
Clearly, at this point we were going round in circles again - I can only speculate that most people would give up at this point after being fobbed off with the email loop.
All in all, not a happy experience with The BB Group / Protechdirect / easyframeconservatories at all. The product though which I am happy with is a K2 conservatory re-sold through them so clearly this is available from other suppliers - Shame I didn't know this before.
Awful, Rude And Just Want Your Money!
I have a long string of emails to back up my review of how terrible this company is. They also go by the name of Protech glass. I ordered a glass door which came a month earlier than expected. well packaged and delivery arranged well. however, when i opened it, it had an edging fault which was clearly not finished in the factory properly as the other edges were all smooth, this would have cut my skin. i emailed them as you cant call them as they hide behind emails. they basically said that as i hadnt told them within 3 days of delivery there was nothing they would do. i took early delivery from them and stored it at the back of my garage, when we opened it there was no glass in the packaging so it MUST have been done prior to packaging. £491 wasted. All they wanted was my money, they were rude in the emails, unhelpful and totally ignorant of the claim. AVOID at all costs!
