We've just completed an extension of our Edwardian house, with 8 new sash windows (double-glazed wooden sashes) plus two bi-fold doors and a casement window too. We looked around very carefully and chose Byng Joinery because they provided excellent service, came recommended by our builder and were competitive on price too. We're very pleased with the product - they look very good from the road (lots of compliments from the neighbours) and up-close the paint finish is excellent too. From my experience so far, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Byng Joinery.  

I'm renovating an old shop, and due to a wall move, I had to replace my stairs into the cellar. After checking regs, (and measuring multiple times) I ordered a straight kit from Byng. They took the time to answer a last-minute question, which was really helpful. It's an excellent product, even including woodglue. My helper asked if I had built one before, it went together so well. The finished product was painted in areas I can't get to, and after some jiggling, it fitted perfectly, without even a squeak, unlike my home stairs. Now for the painting.

I had been researching companies that were able to produce the specific style of windows that I wanted to replace in our seaside home. I had almost lost hope of finding a company that ticked all the boxes until we attended a Kent show and visited the Byng Joinery stand. I wanted a traditional timber Georgian style sash but I had specific requirements, even down to the style of moulding inside and out. The person at Byng Joinery adapted my own drawings to create the exact product I wanted, he acted promptly when I wanted to 'tweek' things and always had a "can do" attitude, his being able to liaise with the production team certainly was an advantage. The paint guarantee was important to us and the finished product came up to our expectations. The order was completed and delivered within the time frame discussed.

We first saw Byng Joinery at an exhibition in Maidstone and were very impressed with the quality and finish of their sash windows. We ordered 2 windows that arrived on time and in perfect condition. The Byng team were always very helpful and efficient at getting back to us. We have a whole house full of old sash windows that will need replacing and we will definitely use Byng Joinery again.

I am a building contractor who was asked by my customer to use Byng Joinery. Very pleased I did, excellent service, windows and doors measured by Gary Byng. Easy and pleasant to deal with staff when I called to change order. Windows arrived when promised and all fitted perfectly. Really well packaged for transit and no damage. Excellent construction and great paint finish. I am extremely critical of all products we buy and the windows and door was top quality. Price was in line with another quote we received, with the service we had, will be using again.

Having seen Byng at a trade show at the NEC, we asked them and other window suppliers, to quote for replacing all of the windows in our 60s bungalow and the two proposed extensions to it. We were delighted to have have found a company who would guarantee their wood windows would not need repainting for at least 10 years, having thought we'd have to settle for UVPC. We had a very tight budget, and after quite lengthy discussions (and a site visit to us in Suffolk) Byng were able to suggest some style and feature adaptations which brought the cost down. We were thrilled as we were able to have the windows we wanted without having to compromise in any way in quality or looks. They could not have been more helpful or accommodating and certainly went the extra mile. The windows and door set were manufactured to time and stored for a short while until we were ready to receive them. On fitting it became apparent that the handles we'd chosen were unsuitable but Byng replaced these with more expensive ones at no extra cost. The paint finish is excellent and although we clearly can't know what it will look like ten years from now, at this point we couldn't be happier.

I researched window and door joinery for many months in preparation for a new build project we were embarking on in Kent. The quality and appearance of the joinery that was sampled at the Build Show far outweighed any that I had previously seen. The price was very competitive and along with a discount card that reduced the prices even further made the overall product range very attractive. All company employees were extremely helpful during my experience of dealing with them. Being a family run business it was easy to contact the relevant person you needed to speak to and the first point of contact when you rang would know who you were, which is very refreshing in this day and age! In the end Byng Joinery supplied all the windows, both sash and casement, all external doors and an internal french door (which the company specially made for us), and the staircase for a five bedroomed detached property. I have been extremely pleased with the products from the company, they have all been spot on with quality, finish, delivery and service. We have so many comments on the windows and doors from people that visit the property and we are so glad that we used Byng Joinery for the project. I would not hesitate to use the company again and wish them many years of success in the future.

This is the second order we have placed with Byng Joinery and the sash windows received look superb and have made a Victorian terrace house look superb. The windows were custom made in period style and arrived on time and with no problems or delays. The team at Byng were all very helpful and I can recommend this company for sash windows and doors.

The Front door and top box we had created are OUT OF THIS WORLD ! Am so so pleased we chose Byng Joinery. The door is far better than I had of hoped, and the installation - organised via Byng was brilliant as well. The Door has improved the aesthetics of the property, improved the noise/heat leakage a million fold, and crucially makes my partner and I feel secure. The locking system is so good, and cannot wait to show the door off to my friends, as it is really is unbelievably good!

After seeing a Byng joinery van on the motorway I thought I would give them an email to have a quote for timber frame sash windows. He emailed back very quickly and after a site visit gave us a very reasonable quote for the sash windows. Although they are supply only, he was able to recommend some fitters to us who were brilliant! We had our windows fitted in November and are so so pleased with them! The quality is second to none and the windows are in keeping with the age of the house (they suggested windows which would have been originally in the house).
