We researched local companies before giving Four Seasons the job of erecting our conservatory. Work was due to start in March, they gave us a date and wanted the first payment to confirm that date. A couple of days later we were told that due to weather delays of two weeks they would not be starting on that date. Now we have to assume they knew this when they asked for payment....two weeks delay does not happen in just a couple of days. We felt duped, they clearly knew the date they had given us was not doable, they just wanted the money. Work started on April 2nd, it took 9 days for the walls and footings to be completed and the two guys of DevonYork worked hard and their work was first class. Then three weeks of nothing happening. This was NOT what we were told by the man we dealt with who said all their trades people were inhouse and therefore no delays. Eventually we were told the next stage, erecting the frame and glass was ready to go ahead and they needed the next payment first. So we paid, by this time they had 90% of the total cost. A different man and his son spent three days on this and their work is excellent. But that's it....90 % paid and just two stages completed and now we hear the company has ceased trading. They have our money, we are seniors on a fixed income and cannot afford to lose the thousands we are looking like losing, plus we now have to pay for the job to be completed as well. Disgusted angry and disappointed barely covers how we feel. We also feel sorry for those who have worked on our project as I'm sure they are owed money too. A job that we were told would take three weeks has not been completed seven weeks later. I have named the contractors because their work was very well done and they should not be included in the two star rating, this rating is for Four Seasons only.

News of their going into the hands of the receiver came as no surprise. Although we have lost a lot of money to this company and work I desperately needed done to make our home wheelchair accessible has not been done, we will not have any further dealings with them. This at least is a relief. Our experience of the company has been as follows: 1. Leaving work unfinished 2. Poor communication- failure to keep clients updated. Customers have to ring them and chase up. Often don’t reply 3. No project management 4. Misleading sales pitch – including dishonest claims e.g tradespeople in house whereas they are actually sub-contracted: claims that the whole company is a Which Trusted Trader, whereas this was only awarded for their installation of conservatory roofs. 5. Many delays in starting work 6. Tradespeople turn up with no idea of what work is involved. 7. The only deadlines they respect are those the company lay down for payment. No similar concerns for meeting the deadlines agreed with customers. 8. No program of works – no project management. 9. Managers and owners keep their distance from customers. Difficult to find out who the senior person is who you need to speak to. Very difficult (impossible) to get past either of the admin staff who answer the phone. 10. Deceptive/fraudulent reviews. At least one positive review written in 2018 appears now on the website as having been written 3 weeks ago! Would it be a good idea for those of affected to keep in touch? Suggest contacting Action Fraud.

What a nightmare! Wish we’d never started the job with Four Seasons Home Improvments of Exeter, they didn’t start on time and took almost double the time they said they would. Communication was absolutely non existent and ‘project management’ a complete joke. They were VERY quick to ask for money and threaten legal proceedings if payment not made immediately. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

As usual, a good sale person very helpful, taken the order and that's it. They came to do a site survey, it was lucky I was in, as we had no notification they were coming. Now 8 weeks since order still no idea when we will get our windows or any update so at least we can plan to move stuff around in the childrens bedrooms

We had long considered doing something about our conservatory roof, which leaked and made the room too hot to use in summer as well as being impossible to use because of the noise during even moderate rainfall. The two employees who removed the old roof and installed the timber beams and rubber coated roofing with a Velux roof light could not have been more skilled, clean, tidy and professional. Later that week they returned for a few hours and installed insulation. Just over a week later, two other excellent employees came and fitted plasterboard and then plastered the new ceiling, all of which now looks very good. Our only disappointments were that, having been told at the outset that the job would take no more than two or three days, that applied only to the main structure. The new ceiling was not finished until a day into the third week, the plasterers having apparently been delayed on another job. Secondly, the 'terms of business' were absurd in that they called for complete payment of the bill when men and materials arrived to begin the main part of the job. It was reasonable to pay a third up front and a similar amount when work commenced. But the final payment should never be expected before satisfactory completion. As soon as all was done, I was delighted to make the final payment and felt no need to impose any retention for snagging.

I have recently had French doors fitted so that my enjoyment of my garden is greatly enhanced. I am delighted that I chose Four Seasons for this purpose. The quality of the doors is superb, as is the quality of the service that I have received from all personnel who attended, from the sales staff to the surveyor and the fitters themselves. Everyone concerned was most courteous and helpful in every aspect. On completion the site was left clean and tidy, not a speck of rubble remained. The whole experience has exceeded my expectation in every way. Very well done Four Seasons, and thank you.

Excellent advice initially received from a member of the sales team which focused on the concerns we had raised regarding the best value for money way of improving (or not!) year round use of our 'old' conservatory. Completed this week we have already felt the benefit of a hugely warmer room which we continue to use despite this weeks freezing weather. The installation team were polite, reliable and conscientious. A big plus was their attention to detail in getting it 'right' at no extra cost. We would have no hesitation at all in recommending this company for providing an effective product with great service Thank you.

I spoke to the promotions team in Tesco which got the ball rolling, the guys on the stand are really friendly and helpful. We then went to visit the showroom which gave us a better idea of the products we could choose from, it was great to see it in the flesh before purchasing. From start to finish, Four Seasons were very helpful and made the whole process easy. Thanks guys.

From the welcoming visit to the showroom to the friendly, bubbly work men. Everything went amazing from start to finish. We walked in by chance and was greeted by enthusiastic and smiley staff who were full of knowledge and understanding. It was great to be able to walk in and be inside several conservatories to get the homely feel for them. The installation process was exactly what was demonstrated to us from the beginning and we were soon sat down with our family in our new beautiful conservatory. Thank you Four Seasons and all your wonderful staff for your flexibility & outstanding perfection to giving our home the extension and uplift that it needed.

We visited the local showroom in Exeter where we could actually see and sit in the conservatory we were looking to buy. Both of us felt very comfortable throughout the process, we now have a conservatory we will be able to use all year round. We would definitely use them again and recommend them to our friends and family.

We visited the showroom and were impressed with the vast choice of products on show, and from the moment the chap arrived to go over some designs of garden rooms with us, we felt we were in good hands, very knowledgable, polite and he came up with some clever ideas we hadn't thought about. Now the conservatory is finished and we are delighted! We have now recommended Four seasons to friends who are now having their doors done.

I’ve had exactly the same problem and with a real rubbish builder to start with, it took ages and the extension was left open to the elements, like you said they would be chasing you for money without finishing the job.......avoid
