We found Four Seasons Conservatories via an internet search promising to deliver top service, quality and everything else you would wish for to draw you in. We paid 20% deposit up front and then after about ten weeks they got a company called All Aspects Construction to build the base 5.4x3m. They used standard polystyrene for insulation, I was none the wiser at the time, but found out later they should of used Kingspan. Months later I decided to extend our patio I made more alarming discoveries. I found they had laid one side of the bricks 60% over the edge of the base and into the mud. Also the base was only 13cm deep instead of the MINIMUM 40cm that it should have been for full length windows (no dwarf wall), which is was just shocking!! A few weeks later Direct Conservatories 4 U (a lovely company to deal with) delivered the conservatory in early September and then the fun really started. We rang the sales rep first and he kept fobbing us off saying he would get someone else to contact us about building it up and he never got back to us and would not answer the phone. Not long ago I learnt that DC4U will NOT deal with Four Seasons any more due to the way they treat their customers. I ended up ringing him daily and emailing every few days to get an answer and after a handful of excuses he and his labourer eventually turned up around 20th November 2021 to start construction. Looking into his eyes I could see straight away that this was going to go wrong, he looked like the wrong stuff & did not want to do the job. So when he started building the frame, he built it out of square and wondered why he could not get the end post in, because he built is crooked it and was 7cm out of square, plus he cut the sill too short at the front and he denied it, even though there were offcuts in the skip. He walked off site blaming the frames being the wrong size leaving my partner very upset. In the end I binned him off to prevent more damage to the goods & we hired a genuine professional Mark Evans Windows & he was extremely good. I then just had to arrange another piece of sill, the plastering, floor self levelling, electrics & so forth. Have Four Seasons have EVER existed as a genuine company? Could it be that they are a false entity in which All Aspects Construction are hiding behind, using false office bases & locations? (maybe, maybe not). Four Seasons website disappeared in July/August time as well. Were there others involved and he is in cahoots with All Aspects? All Aspects Construction also runs a company called All Aspects Conservatories & that website is set up similar to the Four Seasons website. Tried contacting the Consumer Helpline who are part of Trading Standards, but seem to be getting nowhere fast, even after they guided me in sending pre court letters & warnings (letters would bounce straight back). However to this day I still pass along information in hope.. Solicitors are ridiculous money & it leaves myself and many other customers upset, dreams broken, out of pocket & nowhere to go! By doing some research, looking at other review sites (Trust Pilot mainly) it looks like they have operated under these names in the past Prestige Conservatories & Orangeries South Downs Conservatories Cole Thomas Conservatories Lifestyle Conservatories & Orangeries Apex Conservatories Also recently three MORE companies with identical websites have appeared, I am sure there could be some affiliation, due to all the hallmarks. AJ Conservatories & Orangeries Designer Conservatories & Orangeries Seascape Conservatories & Orangeries It seems that they are selling people the same dross as the aforementioned companies. 30% off, 4.77/5 on the reviews & so on.

Like several others said all the supplies are farmed out and you pay when each bit is done. Broken panel in the door as they stood it all up in the garden when all the bits arrived from Yorkshire! Gales the next day and none of it was secure, lucky to lose just one panel which I ended up paying for a replacement!. Had the base done and that was it. No replies to e-mails or phone calls. Got somebody to erect it through a friend. When I told them that in an e-mail they did reply to tell me to ask this chap to contact them as they had 10 more to do! Bloody cheek.

I am talking about Four Seasons Conservatories and Orangeries. They are complete charlatans! Their usp was They do all the work in house, no farming out jobs. After delivery of the frame and glass it took months of badgering before they laid the base, then I never heard from them again! After threatening legal action I was contacted by an independent conservatory fitter who told me four Seasons had contracted the job to them. He sourced he a plasterer who alo did the first fit electrics. I was then told the base had been laid too high and completely uneven with differences of over 2cm in height! I have tried every method of contacting Four Seasons but get absolutely no reply. I then was told the first fit electrics are also all wrong so now I have a shell of a conservatory with holes in my new walls in a the wrong places, a base that needs to be broken up and done again and I'm having to manage and source the work myself! The figure Four Seasons quoted is a distant fantasy and they are nowhere to be found. Never never use them please!

Hi. We had a similar saga with Four Seasons, but pulled the plug on them before any work had started. Their suppliers, Direct Coinservatories 4 U, came to the rescue and did an excellent job, so that we now have a conservatory that we're very pleased with,.albeit a year later than planned . We took out a CCJ against Four Seasons to get our deposit back, on the basis of breach of contract, and we now have the bailiffs on the case, but so far all they've been able to find has been forwarding addresses. They'ver been unable to serve the writ on them.
Written on: 21/05/2022
If your Bailiffs ever serve the papers on them, please let me know as were also tricked by them and had to get another builder to erect our conservatory
Written on: 23/07/2022
Hi both,
Yes we have had the same with these people. Had the base built by another company they contract out and they made a right mess of putting the frame in so binned them off and got a professional to do it.
Again we went through the Consumer Helpline going through breach of Contact and Letter before Court Action but cant pay and press for the claim without a legitimate address for them, (Don't want to throw away another £205.00).
Solictor's are an option but means injecting more expense and stress for no 100% guarantee of anything back. So hit a brick wall, and as of a few days before writing this their website seems to have gone 'offline'.
DirectConservatories4U refuse to work with Four Seasons anymore due to how badly they treat their customers
Regards

Hi
My elderly mother has just started her build with a company called ‘All 4 Seasons Conservatory Roofs Ltd’ based in Eastleigh which isn’t far from Southampton. They were supposed to start work Mon but made an excuse. Then yesterday van broke down and had to go into the garage. Today they turned up at 1.30pm after saying they’d be starting at 12. Then swiftly went off for a 30 min McDonalds lunch break while they waited for a wood delivery to be dropped at my mums house which never showed up, and they came back after 1.5hrs. They still haven’t started work but assured they would start early tomorrow.
They’ve messed her around so much already and they’ve not even started 3 days in!
I noted that their logo is not too dissimilar to that of ‘Four Seasons Conservatories & Orangeries’. Do you think this could be one in the same?
What is the name of the guy you we’re dealing with?
Thanks

I experienced the same. Base installed, parts arrive no further action. Hide behind mobile numbers and email addresses as website offices do not exist. The surveyor who visits once and then never uses his name working in conjunction with someone he worked with at Lifestyle conservatories which went bust in February 2013.

Bought an update to our old conservatory. Dismantle and take the old one away, modify brickwork, install bi-fold doors and a new window. Install new light-weight tiled roof with velux windows. All the pieces turned up at our house pretty much on time. I'm hoping that at least they are correct. Then the trouble started! 4 Seasons Conservatories would hardly answer emails or texts and would not answer telephone calls. If they did reply to emails they were one liners and there was never a name on the email. Soon came to the conclusion we'd have to pay someone else to do the job. There web-site is a sham and their office in Southampton is a virtual office with no-one there. I've sent two letter signed for delivery and they've been returned. I'm not sure how they're making money out of this; maybe they get a fat commission from the window and roof company and then leave their customers in the lurch, who knows? This has been an expensive mistake. Please don't follow in our footsteps.

Just seen these comments and I am willing to discuss.
I went to citizens advice about this and it set off a red flag because I got a call from trading standards. It seems they are putting together a legal cases against these clowns. Unfortunately, because I got the goods I couldn't get be included in the case. There are people out there who are worse off than us!
I also pursued this further with my credit card company as part of it was paid by Mastercard.

Hi, we are also in the same situation. Paid a deposit on 1st March 2021. The building work was completed in August and the doors and glass were also delivered, but then no further progress. After numerous attempts to get them to finish the job we got nothing. We have now employed someone else to complete the job, after loss in confidence that they would ever finish the job. We have also had to do a lot of remediation work in order to start the completion works.

An absolute shower! Avoid!!! They promised the earth but never delivered. Should have been built in 4 weeks - that was a year ago! Excuse after excuse, then no communication for months. I’ve been left with a building site and an incomplete building for which I’ve paid a fortune. Now having to find someone else to complete it… AVOID THIS FIRM!

I am sorry to hear this, we were promised the earth too, also cost us a lot of money. Thankfully our bullder to lay our new patio, agreed to erect the conservatory with the help of my husband, is almost completed. They cannot get away with this. We are going to do our utmost to find them and bring them to justice.

We are also in the same situation, after months of conservatory laying in our garden we have had to get a local builder to erect it ,plans were wrong which has cost us extra money . They promised to start in October after many months of emails but still no joy .We have contacted them for our deposit to be refunded ,warning them that we would contact trading Standards if it was not fourthcoming, that was last week and surprise surprise they replied saying that they had now caught up with their backlog and that they could start about now . I will contact trading Standards this week but looking at all of the reviews looks like we will hit a brick wall with this .This company MUST BE STOPPED as they are still advertising their winter sale

Under no circumstances use Four Seasons Conservatories & Orangeries. The sales rep visits your home, gives you promises saying it takes between 10-12 weeks from quote approved for building works to start and takes 2-3 weeks to complete. 6 months later after numerous phone calls, texts and emails being ignored, asking when works will start, we had to get another builder to erect the conservatory costing us more expense. We are still waiting on a set of french doors which we have paid for. They have also operated under different names such as Prestige Conservatories and Fair Oak Windows. They are not registered with Companies House

We placed an order on 29th August 2019. The tradesmen came to erect the conservatory and found that it was the wrong size, so they fitted what they had and filled the gap with some boarding. The stricture did not fit against the wall and no guttering was added. It is now October 2020 and we have had water coming through the boarding and gaps and pieces are handing from the ceiling. Two rooms have water coming through the wall of the house affecting the brickwork and plaster. Fortunately no electrics were added to the conservatory, so we do not have any problems arising there. We have written, emailed and left numerous messages over the past year, with no response. We need this rectified as we are facing another winter with water coming into the house and an unsafe structure attached to the outside. I wish I could put a negative score on this review. I also paid the deposit and then found that each trades-person that came required their payment direct, which means I had paid for this. I feel that I have been taken advantage of as an 81 year old woman. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM!!!

Hi , We have had the same experience with FOUR SEASONS CONSERVATORIES AND ORANGERIES. Since this has happened we have had contact with 2 other couples too, we combined have been taken for 90,000. we have spoken to trading standards and have been advised to send a letter to the office in fleet recorded. We are pretty sure none of these offices exist. When you say you have clients with the same problem, are you a lawyer?. If no reply from the recorded letter we have to phone back Trading standards . We have spoken to the police only to be told its a civil matter , so no joy there. We are desperate to pursue this. It would seem many people have had the same experience . If we can get as many people together that have been affected by this , maybe we can find a way of getting our money back .

We are having the same issues. So far apart from the deposit we have paid the sun contractors directly. I am concerned now with the review that says the conservatory didn’t fit correctly - until we can get the frame and windows installed, we have no idea if this is also going to be another issue to resolve.

We are now in the process of having our conservatory installed, that we bought from four seasons, and there have been so many problems. Parts don't fit, measurements wrong by the so called 'surveyor '. Building work not brilliant. This is after the 5 month wait for installation. Shoddy company. Our fitter has been lovely with helping us, but it will cost a lot more than the original quote, which means nothing really.

Had a conservatory added to a new build house . Rising damp noticed within 6 months in the conservatory, then noticed the floorboards were starting to come up. After some investigation it was determined the foundations of the conservatory were failing and the damp course had failed - both basic and major flaws. 4 seasons had piled but for the raft used only a 4.5 inch base - thats less than my shed is built on. They had a ''structural engineer'' come round who then said to put a cubic metre of concrete on each of the two far corners of the conservatory which 4 seasons did. This stopped the movement but did not fix the underlying issue or the existing movement which had already taken place. I had to repay for the wood flooring myself and they would pay no compensation. Needless to say after 5 years we had it taken down, foundations ripped up and a proper extension built by qualified builders. Buyer beware.

This company must not be used by anyone if you do want your peace of mind. If I had seen these reviews before using I would have run away. They are rude and aggressive on the phone and are not professional at all. A year after doing our conservatory we have not received a certificate of completion of work and the roof of the conservatory is leaking. They don't care how you feel as a customer which is a shame. Horrible.

I had a conservatory installed by 4seasons in January having had some windows installed by them a few years ago. I was please with the first job they did for me which is why I naturally asked them to quote for the conservatory. Whilst I did have other quotes for the conservatory I chose 4Seasons because I could see that they offered the best deal for a really high quality installation. I was worried about using a conservatory all year round but I was impressed with the special glass and other insulation 4seasons use to make the conservatory usable all year long. I can certainly say the winter use has been good and I am sure it will be ok in the summer. I would recommend them. In fact they are doing a conservatory for one of my neighbours shortly

They installed new windows in our house and built an orangery in Dec2012/Jan 2013. Sometime after the installation was completed we were trying to locate our FENSA certificate. We contacted 4Seasons to ask where it was, they didn’t reply to our emails, texts or phone calls. We contacted FENSA directly who confirmed that 4 Seasons had not been members at the time of our installation even though it clearly stated on our quote on their headed paper that they were. We reported them to Trading Standards. We had an independent survey carried out on the windows which found that 13 windows are at fault, 3 do not meet building regulations and 10 have been fitted incorrectly. In the surveyors professional opinion this was all down to poor workmanship. We also have a leak in the orangery glass roof. We had another independent survey carried out (not the same company who conducted the independent window survey) and the surveyor also concluded that in his professional opinion the leak was due to poor workmanship. Since April 2013 we have been asking 4Seasons to come and rectify this. They came around a few times, each time giving a different reason for the cause of the leak and assuring us that time it had been fixed. To date it has not been fixed. Finally, the director of the company came around mid October 2014 and said he would come back the following week with a fitter and sort out the problem once and for all. It is now November 2016 - over 2 years later and we are still waiting for him to return. We still have the leak. We took legal advice and decided to take 4Seasons to court. At the preliminary hearing in April 2016 Les Styles did not appear. At the hearing in June 2016 they did not appear. The hearing continued in his absence and we won. The judge awarded us a five figure sum. On 26 February 2016, the Director put the company into Voluntary Liquidation. This means he has not paid the compensation awarded to us by the Court. Shortly after this, a new company was set up. The liquidators informed me that we are now on a long list of creditors. In summary, do not use this company. They are dreadful to deal with and the whole experience has been an absolute nightmare. There are many reviews on the internet from people who have had the same trouble with 4Seasons. Make sure you read them all and do not under any circumstances have any dealings with this company. Also check the Companies House website for further information. If anyone wishes to ask me any further details on my dealings with 4Seasons, please contact me

Thanks. Unfortunately this company name and the Directors are not capable of a direct link to the current business, four seasons conservatories and orangeries. I am just starting out on investigating who is behind this business as the postal address, "white building" in southampton, exists but they are not known there. I am also trying to piece together why this happens. It is very clever - immediate response at planning stage and base build stage then quiet. Pay for conservatory units via credit card to another business, pieces turn up, then nothing. I am struggling to piece together the reason why but I see that a pattern is emerging where everything is fine up to the pieces arriving. Only way I can see is to go to court for breach of contract by way of failure to meet their obligations. That will flush out owners of the business any any connections to their supplier which is VAT registered and has facilities for accepting credit card payments. Trading Standards is an alternative but they need to see a pattern of similar complaints. I will file one and anyone else with similar experiences should do the same and they might, eventually, take a look. I will go to court and pay to see what happens.

We are a victim of Four Seasons Conservatories & Orangeries.
They list their head office as:
White Building,
Cumberland Place
The receptionist at this building (that rents office space and is used by many companies) recognises the company and confirmed they have no staff in the building and just use it to forward their mail.
They list the partners and all the e-mails are signed with their names, but they come from four seasons conservatories email address and all seem to be written by their surveyor/ salesmen. After almost a year of trying and failing to get a visit or call, we suspect they do not exist.
We also suspect (but cannot prove) that he is the same guy behind Prestige Conservatories (with a similar MO) and is the disqualified director of Lifestyle Conservatories Ltd.

I’ve never ever come across a company that is so unprofessional! I wish I had read these reviews before having any dealings with them. They’ve got my money but orangery is not built, it’s stored all over my garden and the side of my house. I have been waiting for months. They don’t answer any calls or emails. Like so many others, it has turned into a nightmare for me also.

Hello,
We have engaged with a company called Four Seasons Conservatories and Orangeries and put a deposit down. I am becoming increasingly concerned as the service before work has even started has not been great.
There are many companies with similar names and I’m trying to establish if the company you and others are reviewing is the same as the one we are dealing with.
The Four Seasons Conservatories and Orangeries quote and brochure have a Southampton address but the website an address in Newbury.
Is this the same company do you think?
Any help you can provide would be really useful as we are becoming rather worried.
Many thanks and kind regards,
Rob

Did a good job of putting the Conservatory up, a few snags which eventually got sorted out. Not keen on rectification of errors - took quite a while to get someone out and even longer to fix. New snags now appeared six years into guarantee - again took ages to get through to their office, longer still to get a workman out who thought that solving a damp problem coming form under the floor can be solved by applying some mastic. Finally got their representative (driving a van with a Four Seasons log but claiming not to be in their employ) to take job seriously and write up a full report including replastering work to e done on consevatotu wall where damp has caused damage. Since then, nothing. The represenatative says he passed the report over to them two weeks ago. They refuse now to take any follow up calls (different days, different times - all filtered by their call handlers who promise a return call which never happens.) Look them up on Companies House or DueDil - the directors set up a company every few years then liquidate it enabling them to hide away under the guise of a new company to not fulfull guarantees. Claim to be FENSA registered but are not. Upshot - they can build a conservatory, yes they can, can they fix it - no they can't/ won't, nor will they answer the phone once they know you want to claim on their worthless guarantee. My advice - use a FENSA registered company and get a proper guarantee. Your looking conservatory might look good today but tomorrow never knows.

Promised everything gonna be done.everytime they tell that someone gonna be there tomorrow at 8 . 30 . comes tomorrow nobody turns up.you call them .tge lady on the phone who I think is the wife starts shouting. They wasted my time and money.from the start everything started going wrong.everyday different builder, and when they come they ask you what they are suppose to be doing . poor construction , which they had to repeat 2 times, wrong window which they replaced after 2 and half weeks.holes everywhere not plastered properly , the gutter still hanging , you still see the insulation not sealed properly.the electrician didn't know anything about fitting the heater so it has to be ordered ,poor boxing , I couldn't open my door. etc . They say that they have there own builders but they call them from a local newspaper to do the job. Please DON'T PAY THEM UNTIL YOU ARE CERTIFIED WITH THE JOB.but it's better if you stay away.

TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!That is my honest recommendation. 4seasons did a competent job replacing my front windows and were pleasant to deal with. However, their after-sales service is appalling, it seems they just don't care. Two of the windows failed in the first year, it took repeated calls to get 4 seasons to fix them. I asked for a quote for further windows - ignored. Currently they owe me over £500 - every attempt at communicating with them is ignored. I'm surprised they are still trading - but not for long I suspect. Don't take the risk, there are so many more to choose from.

Do not use this company. Not only are they a terrible company to use as a consumer but they are awful from the prospective of a supplier as well. You can never get hold of anyone by phone. They happily build up debts then refuse to pay. They have also gone into liquidation then re opened under a different name.

After several revisits to allow me to open my bedroom window overnight and remain safe and secure in a ground floor flat I now have 3 rather ugly extra accessories on the window to make this possible. The tilt on the window which should have provided this is FAR FAR FAR too big to allow for any form of security. I requested that a vent be fitted to my bathroom window to allow a little extra air flow. This was fitted as an old fashioned trickle vent which I didn't have much of an issue with. Having noticed a decrease in airflow and rise in moisture in the flat since my new windows were fitted, I thought it a good idea to fit trickle vents to the 3 sash windows in the property. Imagine my surprise today when drilling the holes for said vent, that there is no way of getting from the inside to the outside to allow air flow without hitting a sheet of metal. I thought, how strange and went to check the bathroom vent only to find that the bathroom vent was nothing more than a trickle vent screwed to the window with no actual holes behind it for ventilation. Dealing with the company was always an absolute nightmare, incompetence I could not advise you to stay away from this company more. It will cost you far more in the long run as I now find myself in a position where I need to save up to replace the shoddy, unattractively finished, unsafe and useless windows that Four Seasons Construction have left me with. Disappointed and disgusted. Steer clear!

Would not recommend at all... Never finished anything off properly - job began in October and the saga still continues... Builders have no respect for customer or property. Cannot even describe in words how disappointed we are with the whole experience. The initial seller gave us very false hope of this company! Cannot wait for this all to be over...
