Humboles's review of Wagg Complete Dog Food

“Our 14yo Patterdale cross thrives on Wagg!”

Written on: 24/10/2013 by Humboles (1 review written)

Enough of the theory. Our rescued Patterdale cross, Pip, has eaten Wagg exclusively (plus titbits, of course) since he was 8 months old. He's a grey-faced 14yo now, though still very active as my wife runs him several miles daily. And he's been ill just 3 days in his life - through ingesting something foul on his walkies! He's lively, inquisitive, friendly, healthy, his recommended weight, has good teeth, and produces perfect 'poop'. Our family and friends buy ridiculously costly pedigree dogs, spend fortunes on vet's bills, on insurances, on pricey kibbles, then lose the animals before they are 10yo. Meanwhile, Pip just gets on with life. And my bro's 8yo rescued GSD-cross is perfectly happy on his Wagg diet too. Normally-shaped medium-sized dogs with well-mixed genes normally avoid the displacias, sensitive tums, behaviour issues, etc. of their posher and weirder brethren but are no less life-enriching. Woefully inadequate exercise and/or overfeeding also explain many doggy 'problems' that owners then blame on the food. I've had non-pedigrees since the 1950s; all were long-lived, happy pets that gave years of pleasure and affection.
