We have four rescue border collies and like most people wouldn't feed them anything with preservatives, colourings, etc. We tried the better foods such as Burns, etc, and they are good, but every now and then our one or other of our dogs had stomach problems. We eventually worked out it was entirely down to the food. Autarky (CSJ) was recommended and we haven't looked back since. It's been two years now and they've never had a problem relating to the food at all. Their coats are shiny, eyes are bright and they're lively and happy but not hyper (other working dog owners will know what we mean!). Autarky are now doing an 'autumn years' version and our old spaniel does really well on that too. On top of that, it's much cheaper than the other top brands like Burns, Wellbeloved, etc, but it doesn't compromise on quality. It's wheat and gluten free - a must for any dog really. Please everyone - stay away from all the coloured dog goods and ones packed with preservatives and unnecessary ingredients. As one vet once said 'You don't see dogs ravaging wheat fields'.
