a patterdale is the write dog if you have time to look after it and give it lots of exercise it cant be locked away for a long period of time this dog is grate with kids and a mans best friend it will be grate with young people but at first OTT you couldn't have a patterdale if you were only going to walk him once a day at the minimum two the need places to run so a large garden with netting around it and under ground as they are grate at diging and jumping they cam evan climb trees when you have a patterdale it is best you dont have a cat or chikens as mine goes mentle at the site of one he climed a 5 bar gate at one point!!!!
