HP 10.1 inch Digital Picture Frame

The HP digital photo frame is reasonably priced at $150 USD. By buying through Amazon I get a quick delivery and security from buying online. 

The high resolution of this picture frame means you get nice clear crisp images that are as good as printed photos at least when taking snaps with your phone.

The best feature of this photo frame is that it has Wi-Fi and is easy to connect to your home's wireless internet. Once connected you can download the free iOS or Android app on your smartphone or tablet PC. Once downloaded you can connect the photo frame to the phone app by scanning a QR code or entering the unique frame ID. You can even connect multiple photo frames with to the same app. I thought this would be a hassle but actually following the onscreen prompts made it very easy and I all setup within a few minutes of turning the device on.

Once connected you can then send photos from your phone directly to the photo frame from anywhere you like, you can be in a different room, city or even country and send pictures directly from your phone via the app.

This is ideal for sharing pictures with my not so tech-savvy parents, who get to share in their children and grand children's daily life even when they are miles away. We didn't have to wait until after the holiday to share our family picture.

So whether I snap a picture with the camera of my phone or send a picture from my digital camera to my phone and then send directly to the photo frame I can easily get the picture to the frame remotely.

This lets me share all the fun family pictures from my holidays my child's birthday or anything else with my wider family and makes my parents feel more of our daily life. It's a nice way to share memories and a great way to let them know we are thinking of them.

There are a few extra features like calendar and clock and the touchscreen interface on the photo frame has depictive icons for all the settings. I think if they had a remote it would be nice as I found after doing the setup and playing with some settings I had to wipe my fingerprints off the screen. However, unless you're changing the settings regularly I don't think this would be too big of a problem.

The photo frame is not slim enough to hang on a wall as it has built-in speakers but this means you can set it to place some background tracks if you want. It would also be nice to have a longer power cable or a battery included so it can work indipendaly from the mains but for the price I was really happy with the product and would recomend for anyone else.
