“Yes i'd really recomend this little camera. ”

Yes i'd really recomend this little camera.
Having bought a Fuji Finepix A303 digital camera a year ago, when it was still really expensive, i believe at the current price of £140 is excellent!I think at that price it comes with a 15mb XD memory card, which is ok but you probably need more.

The memory card upgrade is not that expensive, i think around £35 in electrical stores for a 128mb. I have this and taking the pics at the full 3 million pixels you can save a good few hundred pics no problem.

I use my camera for university work and blow up pics to A1 poster size all the time. The result is fantastic resolution and picture quality.

I have a friend that has a cannon camera at 6 million pixels and has picture quality seems to be no different.

However, one thing that really annoys me now is that in movie mode there is no sound. Of course if it is used as a pc cam you can record the sound with the pc mike, but it misses out on the fun you can have when recording movies on nights out with friends.

Finally get your self some good recharge batteries coz as a general rule digi cams eat up normal batteries.

    Enjoy

    Stuart

I purchased the Fuji Finepix A303 yesterday and I have been amazed at how easy it is to operate and also at the quality of the pictures.
For the money $249.00 at Best Buy it is indeed a best buy. All in all, it can't be beat for someone looking for a quality digital camera at a budget price.

Charliebear65 - I'll have to move to the USA. I paid £229 for my 303 but I did get 4 nickel metal hydride cells and a charger thrown in. Why is it eveything's cheaper in your country!

Anyway, it's a cracking camera and is really miserly on battery consumption. I've been using film cameras for over 50 years - some of them quite expensive ones - and I never would have dreamed that digital photography would more than hold its own with film. I'll have to get a bigger hard drive soon because it's filling up fast! I can recommend the 303 to anyone.

It was really difficult for me to make a decision on which camera to buy. I was in Singapore recently and had to make that final purchase decision. I was looking at lots of other cameras, the Minolta Dimage was my other favourite. I have to use my camera for personal picture taking of the family for my Mum at home, and I also need it for taking product shots for our line of kids wear made in Indonesia. I have found this camera can do all the things I wanted from a digital camera and I am totally satisfied. It is also small enough for me to always carry it in my handbag everywhere I go, so we have lots more pictures that I wouldn't have had if it wasn't compact and light enough. I actually remember carrying those big cameras with lenses on them. It is a great choice for a camera. I always like Fuji because I have found their service policies are International and easy. I have had cameras fixed by Fuji in several countries. I am pleased to have the chance to review this fine product. Just a quick tip, the guy in the camera store told me to take pictures not so zoomed in because it's digital. This was great for me because now I get more shots/spontaneous shots of my family and I edit them with Photoshop afterwards and they are all classics. The magic of the computer age !

I've had the Fuji Finepix A303 Zoom digital camera for a long while now and tested it well. For most conditions it is superb. The colours are very life like (even with flash) and the zoom is good. If you can hold it still then you can read a car number plate at 150m. The main problem is the flash. It takes a while to charge, you can only take photos evry 5 seconds. When you are not using the flash it is pretty quick, about 1 second between shots. As far as I can tell, it seems to have no continuous/motordrive mode. The movie mode is ok but it has no sound. The camera is easy to grip and the lens (and sensors/flash) is on the far left so you can put your fingers all over the front.
