The Agfa CL34 digital camera has fair to poor energy efficiency. Flash range is only a mere 2 meters.
Unretouched image quality is surprisingly poor (but remember, this IS a budget camera) and is usually full of artifacts. Unless the subject is really very well lighted, this camera doesn't perform very well -- not even in daylight.
If you are prepared to do some Photoshopping, and cannot afford a higher end camera, this camera
is not too bad. Otherwise, I'd suggest spending a bit more for a more decent camera...
I was a little disappointed with it. Previous reviews say that the image quality is good -- not the case at all.

A great digital camera to buy if you take a lot of simple photos outdoor. Also great for shooting closeups (flowers, etc).. in macro mode. It is not so good at taking landscape shots (ie no zoom). It is a very good webcam on a USB port (high level of detail and colours). It also has the ability to take a 30 sec. film.
I'm very happy with this digital camera. So far i have acheived the same result i used to get with my former Nikon compact camera.

I was fortunate to get my CL34 very cheaply (£75) so I'm treating it as a budget camera, and viewed in that light it is a very good camera. Whether it's worth the retail £160-£170 I really don't know. Especially as I have already spent an extra £50 to get memory cards and batteries/recharger. My "value for money" rating is based upon retail cost rather than what I paid.

Very frustrated with the battery usage, and the seeming inability to take a reasonably close up picture at night using the flash as the image suffers bad "white out" and loses all detail.

On the positive side images taken during the day come out well and the screen and menu system are relatively easy to use.

This digital camera is basically a good all rounder, ease of use is excellent. ideal for a starter camera with brilliant results in picture quality. the video mode has an ample 30 second recording which is ideal for email attachments.

Picture quality is good, as is the software bundled with the camera. Dead easy to use.
After buying the camera I bought a compact flash card. This is a must. Also rechargeable batteries are a must, the highest capacity available.
