Value For Money
Best Campsite In Devon
We stayed at higher rew for 3 nights during the summer.
The campsite was clean, quiet and good value for money.
The shop on site was a great feature, selling everything needed in order to have a successful camping trip. Also, the owners are extremely helpful and provide a high quality service.
The only negative point that could be improved was sometimes the wait time after arriving and being allocated a pitch, but this was not a problem.
Overall, the location of the campsite is excellent and should be recommended to anyone wishig to camp near Salcombe.
Small Pitches Very Close Together And Difficult To
Small pitches very close together and difficult to park by the pitch with two vehicals.
The pitch was sloping.
Noise from other pitches was loud and continued until early hours of morning.
The under 11,s play area was constantly overtaken by teanagers and was not policed in any way.
The plenty of space for children to play was in another field and not suitable to send young children to unattended
A very disappointing holiday that was nothing like its description
I Have Visited Higher Rew Caravan And Camping Park
I have visited Higher Rew Caravan and Camping Park several times over a number of years. It is a family-run site with spotless facilities and a beautiful quiet location. There are toilets, hot showers, a washing machine, a spin dryer, a tumble dryer, a freezer for ice packs, a small childrens play area and a shop on site which is open for a few hours a day.
If you want somewhere with exciting nightlife and a pool this is definitely not the place to go, but if you enjoy coastal walking, peace and quiet and beautiful beaches it is perfect.
