Awful Customer Care
After arranging a sitter for elderly father to attend an appointment to commence a lot of planned work I was kept waiting outside the door, no explanation and the person on the desk clearly unconcerned. No doubt the delay was not her fault, as she kept saying, but it caused a significant issue for me. Of course, as the person on the desk pointed out so helpfully, I should have booked my sitter for longer because these things often happen. The delay is not the issue, her uncaring and stroppy attitude were the factors which mean that I will not be returning and will take my very extensive dental work to somewhere with more professional staff

Friendly But Fake.
I first started going I this handy dentist in my village as soon as he opened shop! To begin with, it was amazing! The place is pristine, welcoming and calming. It is well decorated, and in such a way that there is an instant soothing effect. With a TV to display how well he does his work, a good variety of dental products for sale, and very friendly staff, you really are made to feel as if they want you there because they care about you and your teeth, not the money.
As the sole practitioner, always greets you with a smile, and you are put at ease immediately upon seeing his genuine smile, hearing the music and seeing the lovely garden.
Health and hygiene are their top concern! On every door there is a hand sanitiser dispenser, and all instruments are kept perfectly! If based only on this factor, it would definitely get a 5 star review!
However, if you have a problem at all with your teeth, never have I met someone so patronising! Sometimes there is such thing as being saccharine through smiling way too much and treating one like a complete and utter idiotic toddler!
I understand he may want to help, but we are all old enough (anyone over the age of 7) to be told the straight up truth without sugar coating it!!
Also, this man has given the worst dental advice I have ever heeded! Having long suffered with an apparent gum problem, I went to an orthodontist and hygienist to have it sorted out, only to be told by both that nothing was wrong, and my teeth were in fact in pristine condition!
I had several teeth removed over the years due to nasty falls shattering them, and have always gone without needles. I do not feel the pain. And I believe it a matter of patient-dentist confidentiality to not use injections on an unwilling patient, this breaking all trust. But this man did! He didn't let me know what was coming, and against my explicit wishes, tried to inject me!
This is rubbish. Absolute BS. As a grown woman, I believe I have the right to say whether or not I am injected with something!
Having said all of that, although I no longer trust him, it is extremely conveniently located on my main road, forcing me to continue paying him to abuse my trust.

Apalling Attitude By Head Dentist...!
Recently, my 9 year old son was taken by his father, without my knowledge, to this private dentist, even though I have always had sole residency of my son by court order.
My son already had an NHS dentist that I took him to regularly and where my ex was privy to all information. My son has no issues of concern with his teeth at present, so there was no reason to take him to a private dentist.
Thus, when my son told me that his father brought him to this dentist recently, then confirmed to me that it was this dentist by looking at the website pictures, I emailed the dentist direct.
I asked him to please confirm that my son was taken to him (already knew he was), and to please inform me as to what, if anything, was done to my son's teeth during the visit and the purpose of the appointment, given my son already had a dentist. I explained I was my son's mother with full parental responsibility, and that as a courtesy I wished to know if and why my son was taken there.
This dentist came back to me via email claiming that he was using his 'discretion' to refuse to disclose anything to me - about my own son!
It disgusts me what money can buy.
I would avoid this dentist purely on that basis. I mean, if he refuses to tell a child's mother basic information, what else is he going to hide?
Disgusting treatment of parents, totally unacceptable, to shame.
