People beware don't sign up with global personals it's a scheme unless you want your money to go walk about

Absolutely rubbish site with enough so called "free" features that to make any use of you need to pay a subscription. It says that you can send members messages for free, which you can, however this is totally useless as they aren't able to read your message unless they have upgraded and the same goes for you reading a message. Also, something quite suspicious I've noticed is within the first 2 days of joining there were what appeared to be quite a few women winking, wanting to meet me and sending messages. What's wrong with this you ask? Well every single one of these profiles had no picture and they were all at least 10 years younger than me. I am pretty certain these are fake profiles and a ploy to play on men's ego. In other words, attention and flattery to get you to upgrade. I didn't fall for this, but can see why someone would very easily.

I lost my husband and couldn't find adequate support anywhere, so I eventually turned to "Local Widowed" dating site. I firstly was stunned how many non-widowed users there, but chatting to users gave me support and used the free time that I appeared to have plenty. I only paid for one month just under £30. I am sure I have ticked a box saying no automatic re-subscription, which has disappeared from their terms and conditions very soon after. Every time I was online a member of the company was available for a chat if you have problem with the payment or want a new feature (which means more payments). I did receive lots of flirty messages, I didn't know they were using fake profiles and messaging genuine users!!! Still after a month I tried to stop subscription, which needed to be done by a Skype call!!!! But as it was weekend nobody was available! On Sunday they taken another £30 from my bank account! at the same time members of stuff were still available for a chat but only if you need to buy an extra feature, not for ending my subscription! I found it appalling!! On Monday I contacted Paypal, explained all situation and they had refunded me my second payment straight away! I now can see that there is no Paypal option to pay for your subscription any more! I now know there are tens of the sites that belong to Global Personals, to name the few: Over40 Dating, Mature Dating, Evening Standard dating, etc, they all look the same and offer free subscription. Please save your money and don't be fooled by fake messages from non-existing members!!!!

This company aggregates dating web sites and you will get served up to all and sundry. It is not possible to know whether people are truly members or just browsers until you look at whether they have filled in their forms. And then many of them have been inactive or have not paid any subscription so are not really members available to date. The selection criteria on the mobile site are not remembered so every time you have to go back you have to enter the data again ... extremely frustrating. And then this week none of the profiles in the selection were available as there was a problem!!! The encounters section could be good but why don't they filter this with your basis requirements - e.g. smoker/non smoker, short/tall, married or not.

I paid for a 3 month subscription. My money was taken from my account. then I couldn't log in any more. I emailed them. no reply. after 2 days a reply: ''we feel you are not genuine and we will not activate the profile''. AFTER they have taken my money. now I am chasing them to get my money back. please stay away from those criminals. in their email to me they even didn't address me with my name.

Global Personals? How many sites have the got? Loads! Be aware when joining that you may be joining another of their websites under a different title. I joined 2 different sites not knowing they were Global Personals. Tried to rip me off both times but fortunately my bank alerted me the second time as they were trying to take more money than i registered for. Please keep away!

I heard the flirtify ad on Kiss radio and thought i'd see what all the fuss was about. I'm so glad I did becuase after creating my profile page i was contacted the next day by my now boyfriend! Yes you have to pay to talk to other members but its alot cheaper than Match and the other dating sites. I'm not including Tinder in this comparison cause thats full of idiots who just want one thing not people who are looking for a serious relationship. Flirtify cost me £9.99 whereas they all start at about £30 for the same service from what i can see. It has all the usual functions to search for potential matches, email, uk customer care etc. So at half the price its great value. The only negative is that it doesn't have an app, but you can access the site from your mobile and it looks ok. I'd definately recommend Flirtify to anyone else looking for a serious relationship.

They took over £100 from my bank account without permission, I eventually got the money back from barclays, whom I advised to stop the payments. I only wanted a one month trial-they took 4 months from my bank account-Then when I complained to global- the insults and telephone calls started- I was called from "global computing" they told me my computer was not working correctly and I needed to log into "global computing" and they would fix my computer. I spoke with my son and he advised these people would probably download a virus to destroy my computer. I called them back, the person I spoke with was a foreigner, an arab I think, and sure, as my son said they wanted me to log on to their site and download "a fix". I put down the phone at that point. Days later my phone was bombarded with sex requests-these requests have continued to the present day- Iam sure vodaphone could trace all this back to global personals-as I still have the phone and the calls keep coming-HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH GLOBAL PERSONALS_OR VIVASTREET_they are one and the same.

I telephoned to cancel my membership 72 hours before my rebilling date as asked.The operator stated that my billing account had been cancelled. Then she offered 2 weeks free of charge,I accepted this but did question why i had to telephone before the end of the 2 weeks to confirm cancellation. Was told this is what has to be done before the end of the 2 weeks . I was 2 days late in my telephone call and Global Personals took a months payment from my bank account that they said they had cancelled. When i telephoned to complain i was just quoted the terms of cancellation. No refund. Global Personals have quite a few dating sites. Be careful look into reviews for all sites.Giving your bank details to any online site is very very difficult to control, Terms and conditions are lengthy and confusing.

As per other reviews, you'll learn that Global Personals operate a 'white label' dating service - which means that there are many affiliated websites who will share your data. One of the many sites, which in this instance is operated by them, is Justsingles.If signing up from the home page, be very clear of the following: "By clicking 'Submit' you agree to our Terms of Use." Naturally, the text size is as small as possible, and pay strict attention to '6. Term and Termination'. Whilst they certainly have a team able to respond to email, they only accept cancellation by phone during the working hours most people are often unlikely to get in touch. The only reason that I can see is that they will try and persuade you to extend membership etc.They will not make it easy to terminate. Whist the pricing is intentionally very attractive for those who sign up to a 12 month term, I would recommend testing the water first for a month, and ensure that you are not tied into an auto renew payment with them. Give it a month, and see if the calibre of other members is what you are after. In my first two weeks, there seemed to be a lot of interest, I paid upfront for the year, and then the quality of interactions declined dramatically. I do not think this is intentional. Google 'Global Personal Fraud' and you'll see what activity they have been caught out doing such as faking profiles. Save your money and go elsewhere.

What a dupe! Tried to cancel contract about august 2014 and they are still taking money from my bank account February 2015. Told once it was cancelled when I called the company but no! Know they are saying they can!t trace me?

I paid premium to upgrade to full membership from basic on one of Global Personal's sites. I then found that I still had to pay more if I wanted to use all the features that are available to full members on most sites. This was disappointing from the start. Secondly, I've been on sites before where as a basic member you are enticed to pay for full membership in order to read emails. As a new basic member your mail box quickly fills with emails from other members! You are lead to believe that they are personal and from members who have seen your profile and are interested in you. Yet upon up-grading and looking at the emails you find that they are "round robins" sent to every member. This trick is employed by this company. Thirdly, if you want to cancel you have to wait until their phone lines are open and wait for them to answer and speak to them personally. I'd advise you to take a screen shot of the cancellation email you may receive from them in case you need it at a later date. Fourthly, I have never been approached by so many people with fake profiles as on this site. They are easy for anyone with an ounce of intelligence and a minimum of dating site experience to spot. I am suspicious to say the least that some of them may even be employed by the company to string you along for another months membership. This practice was common a while ago though this organization I believe claim to have been one of the first to stop such practices! Maybe? This tells all about Global personals Finally, if I were staying a member of Global Personal's Sites (Which obviously I'm not) I wouldn't waste very much time talking to other members by email if they seem reluctant to speak on phone or to meet up. Sure, a bit of caution is normal and advisable but it's also fairly obvious when you're being strung along. Not sure if you'll publish this but hope you do.

Global Personals Ltd run a number of dating websites. In the situation where you wish to cancel your subscription you have to inform them by phone. Upon doing so, the operator confirms yours cancellation and then gives you weeks membership free of charge. However, it is not explained to you that if you do not phone to cancel again - then Global Personals will charge you for the next period. Since you have made contact by phone - there is no record of the conversion. Once the payment is made - you complain but they refuse refund your payment since you did not repeat the cancellation.

Fiftydating is part of the Global Personals group and, as I fit that category, seemingly a good place to start searching for a mate. Sadly, this couldn't be further from reality. You expect very little 'vetting' on this type of site - their business is to make money - but when obvious 'tricksters' submit profiles and you use the relevant form to let the company know, they still don't remove them. After several complaints about this sort of lax behaviour, I stopped receiving email alerts and was told that it was my problem and something to sort out with my provider. After spending most of my career in IT, I can safely say they're talking absolute rubbish! Steer clear of any site associated with Whitelabel or Global Personals. You're personal details will be shared 'who knows where' and it'll be purely luck, not judgement, if you meet with your soulmate!

ALWAYS CHECK FOR GLOBAL PERSONALS AND WHITE LABEL DATING. set up my profile on one site after an hour and uploading pictures i could not log in "that account does not exist" i've been given the run around by 4-5 members of 'staff' who haven't fixed my account. I used a different site and had the same issue but the customer support staff were a lot better they sorted my issue straight away. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. easy to spot a Global Personals site... it's really simple to sign up for an account, the sites are always flash. don't pay for membership at all!!!! use the free features.

Even payment, which turns out not to discount is automatic and it is not explained before payment. You can not try out the month because just have to pay out of your account and regularly lost money. The money did not come back!

Was totally misled when I joined a website I'd seen advertised, not realising that I would be lumped in with one of many other sites as part of the global personals company. The website was often inaccessible from my ipad which meant I was unable to access messages and profiles of people on the site. Wonder if this is done deliberately to keep you having to maintain subscription, or whether it is just truly rubbish? I think it's unfair to lump so many niche and diverse sites together as you end up getting messages from people wanting 'sexy Latinos', 'big fat black women' or sexy Asians. I'm neither of these three, plus I'm not a horse lover, a sailor, a single mum or an extreme exercise junkie. To be honest, I would, either get a whole load of rubbish 'icebreakers', or random messages by semi literate men, often with accompanying pictures of them holing up fish. Oh yes, probably a website for fishing enthusiasts that I most definitely did not sign up to! All in all, the past six months have been an absolute waste of my time and money, but at least the weird and wonderful messages I've received during this time have provided plenty of laughs for my friends and I. Am most disappointed by this experience and it's put me off online dating for the foreseeable future. AVOID!!!!! Oh yes, and when I originally joined I opted for the one month trial. Despite ticking that option, I was somehow congratulated on signing up for six months, something which I definitely did not wish to do.

Always check the 'About us' link at the foot of dating site pages because Global personals offer a white label service to people who fancy trying their hand at dating site marketing. I have signed up to over a dozen Global Personals sites as a user over the last 6 months and have the same problem every time. You get locked out of your account and when you contact customer services, they just do not get back to you. Total, utter rubbish. To anyone thinking of signing up with this company on a white label basis - DON'T - they will ruin your reputation because they handle things so badly. To anyone thinking of registering as a user with a Global Personals site - DON'T - you will spend more time trying to contact customer services than you ever will chatting with other users!
