I had a six month subscription which I paid for in instalments and then cancelled ahead of the six months so that it would not renew. However this was automatically renewed and I am still paying for it now. Since this automatic renewal took place I have been unable to send email messages as the site will not allow me to type in to the relevant field. I contacted datingdirect online as I could not find a telephone number and was sent back a reply asking me to clear my browsing history or update my browser when my computer is less than a week old. I still have not been able to find a telephone number or successfully cancel my subscription. I am paying for a service I am not receiving.
I have also found the same in that I rarely receive any replies to my emails, though of course I am willing to understand that this may be down to luck after all!
I suggest once you can extricate yourself from the website that you look at kissing gates or eHarmony.
I would not use dating direct again.
