took all my details then said it couldn't continue.What happens to all my details?

The sign-in also took all my details. However I only have a Maestro debit card and an out-of-date credit Barclaycard (visa). The Noddle reply was this card has expired and can't be used! Who intended using it? If the sevice is FREE why do you need any credit card details?
