Idyllic Mariners Cottage, St Mawes

Just got back from an idyllic two weeks in St Mawes. The service from Cornwalls Cottages in booking and planning the holiday was excellent and the cottage itself simply gorgeous. Very clean and tidy and lovely touches like fresh flowers and a cream tea left out for us on arrival.

The cottage itself is in a perfect location right on the harbour wall so the sound of the sea lulls you to sleep at night and wakes you up in the morning. The views of St Mawes harbour and out across the Carrick Roads to Falmouth from the master bedroom are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen in England.

The only thing that stopped me giving it the full five stars was a lack of a washing line or rack to dry clothes anywhere in the cottage which for a family holiday was a bit of a problem. But a quick call to the super-helpful housekeeper meant a new laundry rack was delivered to the cottage the very next day so it was all swiftly resolved.

I wouldn't hesitate to book this cottage again or use the agency.
