This is a supplier of computer boards and systems.

Being unable to source the particular board this company manufactures (only available abroad, at silly prices) I thought I would contact them directly.

They are uk company and I run my own business, so I thought this would be acceptable. The website looks professional and invites the visitor to make a sales enquiry. So i did!

One week later I had received no response. Now I was a little perturbed, but I have no idea how busy the people are or if the web systems didn't send the message successfully, so I decided to call and ask if they can supply my business with the required board and at what cost.

I got put through to a guy who seemed friendly and helpful, but whilst discussing the quote he mentioned that he did indeed receive my sales enquiry! Perturbed once again, but positive that they would be able to satisfy my request, I said nothing and answered their questions.

They said he may get back to my be COB (being a Friday), but as he had to contact their branch in Germany, it would most likely be Monday that I received a call/email back with the quote.

Today, over a month later I have heard NOTHING from Kontron and received nothing from this 'company'.

Clearly Kontron are already making far too much money selling their wares abroad to give a damn about customers from their own country, and have no idea what the words 'customer' and 'service' mean when they appear in the same sentence.

Dear reader, save yourself time, money and your sanity; AVOID.
