It is hard to begin my day without a sizzling cup of coffee. I am addicted to coffee though I understand excess coffee consumption isn’t conducive to health. I recently bought the Krups XP 2000 coffee machine. I am quite happy with it because it serves the purpose plus I didn’t have to pay through my nose.

Have had mine for more than 2 years - no problem so far. I only had to change the seal once as it was worn out of too much usage, bu other than that, it's an amazing machine! I love it and I wouldn't change it for nothing! I like the huge jug! Would always recommend it KRUPS XP 2000!

This is the second different type of Krups machine I've had and they have both leaked. I will not have another. They are supposed to be good machines but are just disappointing. No problems with frothing or using the jug but leaking over the worktop is not a good thing. Don't bother.

I bought my krups xp 2000 for £3 at my local recycling center as they're not supposed to sell any of the stuff they get in a tall smiling council recycling attendant told me out of the corner of his mouth in a mildly covert manner, to put it in my car and leave a couple of quid in his attendants shack......i must say value for money its amazing the best £3 i ever spent other than the £100 i payed for this dell precision m4300 laptop from a rather dodgy bloke with really bad skin in a pub in north wales....SO! i love my coffee machine and i reckon it makes pretty dam good coffee although the bag of lavazza coffee i bought exceeded the price of the machine by 5 whole pence, all in all a fine purchase and if your paying less than a fiver for it go for it and enjoy, i am!

Avoid this machine in fact avoid cheep krups coffee machines fullstop. This my second krups in 2 years the fisrt lasted a year and this lasted 6 months. vvvvvv bad will never buy there products again.
The customer service is poor you have to go through a 3rd party to get it fixed and when i did they lost part like the steamer wand and it was dropped at one point so now the casing is loose.

I purchased this Krups XP2000 coffee/espresso maker in April of '07 and it worked great until December of '08. Had it repaired at one of the recommended appliance stores. That experience was a nightmare. Six months later my machine stopped working and all Krups will do is give me a mail in rebate for $20 or pay for shipping to another recommended appliance store. Will never purchase Krups products again.

The Krups XP2000 is a brilliant coffee machine. best one i have come across to take ground coffee . easy to use and tastes amazing, intensive cleaning and needs to be done straight away, and its hard to get your cup into the space.

How can they call the Krups XP2000 an espresso maker? I cannot seem to get any froth from the milk steamer. Just hot bubbles or burned milk. I guess that's why it's best to just spend the $3.50 a cup and buy your latte from a real barista at the coffee bar.

When using the coffee maker on my Krups XP2000 (not the espresso maker) water leaks profusely from the bottom of the machine onto the counter. It's just making a mess and is annoying. I don't recommend this machine because of that.

A great every day coffee maker. The Krups XP2000 delivers cup-after-cup of 1st class coffee. Delighted with product.

Got this Krups XP2000 as a big gift, but the problems seem to be endless. The on/off switch for the filtered side now does not turn off immediately (it used to). The blue light stays on for a while, and then goes off. Sometimes it stays on for quite a while. Gets confusing, did I turn it off or not. Seems to leak water, have only used the espresso side twice in 7 months that we ' ve owned the unit because it's such a hassle and the manual is not much help. Sometimes when making filtered coffee, it's just warm. Other times it's hot. It ' s not scale because we have soft water & the unit has been descaled. I think it might have something to do with the on/off switch. One pot will be hot and the next, just warm. We only use the filtered coffee side maybe once or twice a week, usually just on weekends. The water fill for the filtered side is in the back. Due to the height of the unit, it can ' t be used under a kitchen cabinet and must be pulled to the front of the counter and it is heavy. No separate water measurer was included and if the carafe is used, it is hard to pour into the well in the back without spilling water and if you miss, it continues to leak out on the counter for quite a while. We have a measurer from an ancient Mr. Coffee that we now use to pour the water into the unit. The lid easily falls off of the carafe when you are cleaning it. Two small plastic pins hold it on and fit into two holes at the top of the handle and the pins don ' t seem to be long enough. The filter holder takes a little effort to get it locked into place each time. If we are making a second pot of coffee while the unit is hot (remember, it won ' t turn off when the button is pushed) it blows steam in your face with the lid up as you first start to pour the water in. Since the unit was an employment gift, there is no receipt. We are trying to get something from the employer but if we can ' t, then we won ' t be able to get this thing fixed under warranty and will probably just throw it out.

Bought Krups XP2000 Feb 2008. In June it started to leak from filter side. When returned from service, water filled into espresso tank ran straight out of the bottom. A totally new replacement received yesterday. The heater on the espresso side did not work. This second machine has now been returned for replacement I bought this machine because I believed Krups were a manufacturer of repute and that the earlier failure of my daughters similar machine after 18 months was a random fault.
I appear to have been wrong.

Had a Krupes Espresso and coffee maker for years in Europe when they were made there and it was fine.
Now the XP 2000 I bought in the US are made in China and are just scrap.

The Krups XP2000 coffee machine is a disappointment. It is absolutely junk. The coffee making isn't too bad but the frother is totally useless. Don't waste your money. I would be better going down the road and buying the cheap 20 cent macdonalds coffee. What a waste of money!

One of the other reviews of this Krups XP2000 mentions terrible things that can happen if you switch on the machine without filling the water reservoir-the simple answer to that is, make sure you put water in it, as it tells you in the instructions. Its one of my most prized possessions and all the negative reviews to me sound surreal, this is a smashing coffee machine, go and buy one immediately!

Before I purchased this Krups XP2000 coffee machine, I did lots of research on similar priced models. Quite a lot of reviews commented on how poor the milk frother is, well, I actually find it's more than adequate. I use ice cold semi skimmed milk and get really good results. I have owned my machine for about 4 months and use it most days. The coffee it makes, whether espresso or filter, is wonderful (make sure you buy decent coffee in the first place though!). My Krups came with a free grinder too; you can't beat the flavour of freshly ground coffee.
It may have a couple of relatively minor faults, but overall I love this machine.

We took the original Krups XP2000 espresso machine back within a week - it had a mind of its own! We were given an instant replacement at Comet. It seems to be working much better. Time will tell. The coffee is lovely though!

This was a real disappointment, on paper this machine would have fulfilled my needs but it's poor performance and poor robustness make it unusable. I will be looking for other manufacturer models in future as I think this unit has many fundamental design flaws.
