Awful Service

I recently visited my local New Look store in Oswestry, Shropshire and has the most appalling service. There were 3 assistants working that day and as I entered they were all stood near the entrance of the shop gossiping about recent celebrity news and I was kindly greeted with a sour look, like I was an inconvenience and has somehow interrupted their little meeting.
I only came in to buy a scrunchie, a small purchase, but having worked in retail for a few years I expect high quality service from any store, especially high street ones who continually quote how they provide excellent customer service and keep wanting to improve it. I approached the counter to pay foe my item, once noticed after a few moments of me glancing towards them someone came over. They didn't seem pleased that I had disrupted their gossip and the checkout service was poor. She didn't make any pleasant conversation but continued to talk to the other employees and the other person who was involved in the gossip.
I left feeling very annoyed and disgusted with this service and purchase.

New Look should seriously consider investing in their customer service and training schemes. They should consider how they recruit people and improve their customer service.

Completely put me off visiting that New Look store in future.
