Constant winging from people who expect these basically nineteen fifties machines to perform like modern bikes leaves me scratching my head. If you want to drive at 75 to 80mph on open roads then look elsewhere these bikes will simply turn to automotive muesli. However for a 50 to 60mph back road plodder then you're in the right market. That said you can cheaply and very entertainingly hot these old machines up and the very reasonable initial costs makes this viable. I have a 350 version in daily use and other than the occasional tweaking which I have never known a motorcycle not to need its been extremely reliable. Not a machine for a mechanical numpty if you are one of those go for a GN250 or Honda GB400 or similar. I'm talking here of the iron barrelled classic motor not the new fuel injected unit construction all alloy models about which I no nothing but if you want great fun riding at a very reasonable price then go ahead.
