Having fallen foul of some e insurers who charge vast sums to cancel, talk to you and produce documents it was a pleasure to find this company who actually try to help and make suggestions to save the customer some money. They are pleasant to deal with and helpful beyond measure. I get the feeling that if I was to make a claim it would be dealt with in the same efficient way.

“Portwoods are a traditional high street insurance...”

Portwoods are a traditional high street insurance broker that initially offer their products online but to complete the sale require you to contact them - usually by phone. This can slow down the time to arrange the policy, however classic cars aren't as simple to insure as other vehicles.

I have always found their staff to be knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. They are willing to take time to discuss your needs and don't put you under pressure to buy more products from them.

A refreshing change from high-pressure call-centre staff. I'll give them a try for my main car and house insurance as it appears on their website that they offer everything.
