My parents used to buy these for Christmas time for us and loved them. I bought them for my children and they used to also love them. However, since changing the sweets and the wrappers and tin to cheap nasty flavours and fillings and tacky plastic cartons, I will never buy them again. Seriously, you need to review and bring back the orininal Quality Street Sweets, somethings are not meant to change!

I'd be willing to bet that the reason these now taste horrid is because Nestle have reformulated practically all their confectionary since 2008, when they removed all E numbers/artificial flavours and colours, as well as hydrogenated fat which acted as a preservative and influenced taste and texture (hence they now tend to taste 'off'). This has made a big difference to the taste, overall! The same with Smarties - they are awful now! In the old days (before all this healthifying of foods and nanny state, where we as adults were not told what we can and can't eat) these sweets had E numbers - and they never did me any harm! Just because some people are obese and can't control what they put in their mouths, it a small percentage of adults or kids have an adverse reaction to certain E numbers, it's been decided that we should all bear the wrath of rubbish tasting stuff and all the treats we used to enjoy, ruined! The clue's in the term 'junk' food! It's a tweet and not meant to be healthy, but all these well known treats seem to have become a victim of this health craze!
