“The Best Book Ever read ”

★★★★★

written by irmina.eicaite on 01/03/2014

I like this story it makes me think what's going to happen next, but I don't like the way it includes cursing but, it's fine doesn't make a difference as I started reading this book I felt sorry for Jayni - Lola Rose because it was upsetting to me that she got hit by her father and that but then I started thinking the book was okay when I got used to it I still didn't get to the end of this book, because I am trying to study and getting pictures in my head about how they might look how they could react and how fat auntie Barbara is for sure and all those sort of stuff I am trying to find images of how they might look like on the internet can't find any yet so yeah over all I liked about this book is that it uses lots of reactions, which I like so yeah best book ever can't wait to read the next one I love all the Jacqueline Wilson books, but so far I have read three, because I find them more interesting I saw a advert about a new book called Cats And Whiskers I am reading that next can't wait... okay all that I think about this book is that it's great Bye.....

Lola Rose Characters – Jayni (Lola Rose), Nikki (mum), Kenny (Jayni’s brother), dad In this story there is a girl called “Jayni.” She and her mum and her brother live in a small flat and her dad is normally always away. But the dad is not as caring as you might think. He always beats his wife, Nikki up. Her mum, Nikki does her best to cope with the beating up but when the dad hit Jayni that was enough for mum. The 3 escaped that night when the dad was at the pub. They were lucky that their mum’s hand bag was full of fivers from the scratch card that she had bought and won. That was what all the fuss was about, the money. But that was what they used for the first few weeks and that was what helped them start their new life away from home. Their mum Nikki said that they had to change their names, so Jayni became Lola Rose, Kenny became Kendall and their mum became Victoria. Lola was still very scared because she thought her dad would come back. Do you think he came back? Throughout the story many unusual things happen and Lola’s mum gets cancer and there is lots more .So if you want to know what happens you better find that book and start reading it.

This book is really unusual, When you read it theres some really scary bits like when Jayni's dad hit her and her mum. When i read it, i always had goosebumps, coz theres loads of unpredictable parts when your got a feeling theres trouble. Sometimes i think this book is too negitive for me, when i picked up the book, i thought it was like tracy beaker or the rest of the books, because i thought the name was sweet, but when i read it, i came across naughty things that my parents would'nt do to save a life, it compares my family. I recomend this book for children over 10, At least. I hope this helps your opionon. This is one of Jacqueline wilson's dedicated books.

Lola Rose is a fantastic story of realistic family life. Mum, Jayni and Kenny escape from Dad and start a new life in London in the aid of a lucky lottery ticket. They change their surname to Luck as they feel they are lucky and become Victoria (Mum), Kendall (Kenny) and Lola Rose (Jayni). But then Mum gets breast cancer and ends up in hospital. Lola Rose is forced to be very grown-up and manages to contact Auntie Barbara who helps them through Mum's illness. Will Mum get better and they all carry on living with Auntie Barbara, will it go wrong and they get sent to a care home or back to Dad, or will something completely different altogether happen?

Lola Rose is a great book! I have read it loads of times and I like all of it. Jayni, Kenny and their mum escape in the middle of the night because Dad hits Mum and Jayni. They have to choose new names and Mum chooses Victoria, Kenny Kendall, and Jayni chooses the coolest name she can think of, Lola Rose. But Vicky gets breast cancer and has to go to hospital. Lola Rose and Kendall stay alone for a few days but they get worried because Mum said she'd back after one night. Lola Rose calls Auntie Barbara who then comes and looks after them.

I think this is a good book and easy for children to read. Maybe not young children because the book involved some intercourse and fighting. It was an other success from the fantastic author Jacqueline Wilson.
