“Fish and chips costing £158”

★☆☆☆☆

written by bshepp10 on 18/10/2011

A very average fish and chips from a so called world famous restaurant, but by far the biggest disappointment is that the management have employed a 'cow-boy' parking scheme, designed to fine their customers, making enough money from them from their first purchase for them never to return. I sat in the car whilst my friend nipped in to pick up our fish and chips, in the 'customer parking' 'free' to customers.... Free... ABSOLUTELY NOT. I ended up getting a letter with a £75 fine, going up to £150 if it isn't paid within 10 days of receiving the letter. An absolute farse, at no point was my friend asked if he had parked, or told about having to register the vehicle. On my second inspection of the property I did notice the signs in the car park, however only until you go inside do they make sense as they say free parking for 'registered' customers, meaning you must go into the restaurant (I mean restaurant here as its not even possible to register in the take-away parlor). I was disgusted that my friend was not made aware of this and being a legitimate customer I should not have to pay this fine. Its safe to say that I will ban all my friends from ever visiting a Harry Ramsdens ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A bunch of pirates!!!!!!!!!!
