Delivery over a month Refused to cancel the order Non communciation via phone Made refund to stop me returning and then took it back later As underhand as you can imagine Say they are UK company but based in Germany Avoid and go to another supplier instead will save yourself much stress and heartache in the process

“Appalling Customer Service”

I purchased an item on the premise it was a UK based company. Turns out its in Germany. The item I bought was faulty and they asked me to send it to Germany and won't cover those costs. Going to my nabk to reclaim the money.

this company takes your money and then does not deal with complaints, my mat cracked within weeks and I now have to dispose of it and purchase another, using Amazon as they are reputable, you can talk to someone and get a refund, no wonder they are successful. Fllormats have a phone option for complaints and then ask you to send an email and that they will respond within 4 hours the same working day, never return calls, nor answer emails, not even from their contact page, perhaps they are hopefully not trading anymore, they say they are based in the UK, but are in Germany, Companies House have no record of them, and have changed their trading name - you have to have good customer service to survive these days!!!

Mat cracked up within a few months. Ignored my emails. I am not fussed about a refund but they should stop selling mats that are not fit for purpose. And they should provide a meaningful customer service. Don't use this company under any circumstances. I would give them zero stars if I could.

“Be Warned!”

I wish I’d checked Review Centre before purchasing 2 identical mats from this company in September. One had a ragged edge exposing the mat base. It also had material tufts glued to the surround giving it pitted appearance. I asked for a refund and was refused. I provided photos of the satisfactory mat compared to the defective mat and was refused. “ The ragged edge is a natural result of production and it is not a defect.” I asked for the name of the chief officer to complain to and was refused. Be warned!

“Never use - poor quality products and never answer phone ”

Bought products from here and they have disintegrated in 3 months. Phoned company to discuss. Made about 50 calls over 2 weeks and not once has anyone answered. Sent emails and used contact form on website and no responses. Do not use.

***Please avoid at all cost, it is better to paid more and get decent product. **** Wish I had seen Floor Mats reviews here before. Mat came in tiny box, has been all crumbled when unfolded, mat been laid flat on the floor for 2 weeks and it is still crumbled and plenty of folding marks are visible. Floormats expect to send faulty product back at my own expense so they can investigate it! - unacceptable.

“BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY”

I would give them 0 star if I could... This is the most unprofessional company that I have dealt with. Ordered transparent chair mats (hard) worth £89.00 as per the photo on the website. However, when I received the mats, they were opaque and in a roll form and very hard to use, which was completely different!!! When I sent them e-mail about it, they were not helpful at all. They didn't understand that the wrong product we received than the one on the website (photo was of the different mat). They wanted me to send the item back to Germany!!! Now why do I have to send the item to Germany, particularly when I received the parcel from the UK? I asked if they have any collection option for returning of the item, they said £16.50 for this service. Isn't it unfair that the wrong item was displayed as a photograph then the one I received!!! It took me nearly 3 weeks of back and forth e-mail, without solution. Ultimately I will have to send them item ans will need to pay for it, regardless it's their fault!!! Gutted, I really wish to complain to the higher consumer authority about this company.

Heavy duty apparently!!! 2 weeks shattered on carpet ... emailed and was offered 16% back !!! £4.80!! For and item that was useless and failed to do what it’s supposed to do and be .... total misrepresentation of any item and product ... failed to meet minimum standards expected ... customer service non existent... totally not not fit for purpose and customer service the same ... Arrived late with zero communication I had to do all the chasing ..... !! Avoid at every cost ...!!!

“One star is too many”

One star is too many. The anti-static floor mat I purchased in March cracked around 2 months after receipt. Following a delayed delivery as the mats actually come from Germany this was extremely frustrating. Having reported this to Floor Mats I was advised the product carried no warranty & bluntly refused my request for a replacement / refund. I politely pointed out that I was still covered by the Consumer Rights Act & that the product clearly wasn't fit for purpose having being used for the advertised purposes in accordance with the advertised guidelines - maximum weight, maximum carpet pile etc. Here I am 3 months later having finally received a reply to my numerous chasing emails & I've now been advised that they want me to ship the damaged mat back to Germany at my own expense! Shambolic processes, disgusting non existent customer service & substandard products.... take my advice & buy elsewhere to save yourself the hassle of dealing with this miserable excuse for an operation.

“Don’t use - total nightmare”

We ordered from this store in early April. Payment was take immediately but it took them a good few weeks to deliver. I didn’t mind this and expected delays due to Corona but updates were only provided once I asked and information was limited. Product finally arrived but it was half the size we ordered - totally unusable for what we needed! I explained this to them, they said they don’t have the product we ordered and for the product they did deliver, they offered me a generous 20% discount... for a product we couldn’t use. So I asked for a return and immediate refund. They organised the return but we had to pay for repackaging it and again, information was sporadic. It took a long time to process the refund - it came through at the end of May. I asked for money to cover the extra packaging and for an acknowledgement that they had held on to my £139 for 1.5 months - all these requests were simply ignored. So it’s the end of May now and all we have had is hassle and annoyance but still no floor mat. Won’t order from there ever again!

“Very Poor Product and Evasive, Illusory Customer Service”

I ordered and received a plastic floormat from floormats.co.uk in January to place on the carpet under my desk. By March, it had begun cracking and splitting. I emailed customer services who, according to the company's website "take customer satisfaction seriously and genuinely aim to leave all of our customers happy with their sales experience". They replied to say my complaint fell outside their 30 day return period so they could do nothing. I pointed out that I was using the floormat in accordance with the conditions for which it was intended as described in their own product specification. It was demonstrably defective and unfit for purpose. Under the Consumer Rights Act, I was entitled to a free replacement. All customer services offered in return was a discount on a new order. This is a company that hides behind threadbare excuses, shabby evasions and, eventually, complete silence. Their product is rubbish and their assurance of taking "customer satisfaction seriously" is a sick joke. It's a pity I can't award floormats.co.uk the rating they truly deserve - MINUS 10 stars. DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO BUY FROM THEM.

Bought a "Chair Mat for Carpet Floors - PRO Series (transparent)" form them and it developed a big crack in less than a month. It also had a slight curl at the edge. They replied saying they only guarantee it for 30 days and I was now outside this (I emailed them on day 31 and the fault had clearly developed before that within the 30 days). Either way the material used is not fit for purpose, it is too brittle to be used in a carpet floor matt. Also the reviews on their website, try to leave anything other than a 4 or 5* review and see if it ever appears....it won't. Avoid this company like COVID-19!

“Terrible company and even worst service”

Purchased a product from this company. Money taken from my account on the same day however no order confirmation or acknowledgment. Contacted (via their website) them a few days after placing the order to find out that 2 day later, no reply. The promise is to reply within 4 hours! Tried to call, was on hold for sometime to be told that they are very busy. Tried to call the parent company - Dayton Home and Office to find out that mail box is busy and can not leave a message. Would never deal with the company again and will make sure that none of my acquaintances will not order anything from them If I could give less than one star i would.

“Do not order”

I ordered early December, did not receive my rug at all. Had to chase on numerous occasions to eventually (around a month later) be told my rug had been lost. I was told i would receive a full refund - no offer of a replacement was made. After weeks of not receiving my money back again I had to chase and chase.. still haven't received my £80 back. Customer service is terrible and not based in the UK, they seem completely uninterested, ignore emails and there is no contact number to speak to anyone.. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE
