Enjoyable Smooth Experience

My husband and I had been thinking about buying a camper van for a while and the perfect one for us came up at VWCamper Sales. All of the members of staff who we dealt with were friendly, knowledgeable and extremely efficient.

We agreed to purchase the van and arranged to pick it up 2 weeks later. They went to great depths to help us get everything organised - arranged installation of SatNav/Bluetooth, gave us rubber mats for the front area, a gas bottle, a fire extinguisher and a hook-up cable.

In dealing with the finance it was a straightforward process and they acknowledged receipt of the deposit and remaining monies immediately.

Each and every query that we had was dealt with in detail and promptly.

All 4 members of staff that we met were incredibly friendly whilst retaining a professional approach - not an easy balance to achieve.

Thank you to all at VWCampersales - we would not hesitate to return to you or to recommend you to friends.

Thank You Vwcampersales

VW Camper Sales Ltd were professional and friendly from the moment we walked up on their forecourt. Every member of the team was well informed about the vehicles and we decided to purchase one of their immaculately presented used VW California's. Our subsequent visit to pick up our vehicle was equally well run, we had a comprehensive handover of the van and it's many features and the staff ensured we were comfortable with everything before we drove off into the sunset!

One element I really appreciated was that in the time between agreeing to purchase the van and the agreed pick up date, I had numerous questions that I failed to ask during the first meeting. The team at VW Camper Sales were only too happy to answer those queries that I kept throwing at them. Thank you VW Camper Sales, we love the new vehicular addition to our family and I would definitely recommend this company.

Very Helpful.

We brought our VW california from vwcampersales in April 2016. The level of service that we received was exceptional and they have always been happy to help with any issues that we have had since we brought it. Recently a problem occurred with the engine, vwcampersales were extremely helpful and recommended a garage to have the issue fixed at. They also helped negotiate with VW about gaining money back as it was a fairly new vehicle. We have been extremely happy with the level of service we have received and would thoroughly recommend them.

"friendly, Professional And Competitive!"

We are so impressed with our new VW California! Thank you!! He was very helpful, information and clearly had been in the industry a long time- he answered every single question thrown at him and matched us to the perfect camper for us.

We had been looking for a camper for quite some time and the only drawback was that we live the opposite ends of the country, but it was definitely worth going the distance for the price, service and beautiful van we now have.

I would certainly recommend him and the team to anyone looking for a campervan.

Thanks again!

Rude To Say The Least

I rang VW Campersales to ask about one of the vehicles they were advertising for sale.

I asked if the vehicle currently had a bike rack fitted? They replied 'No, but we have them in stock'. Thinking (wrongly) that a bike rack was a standard fitment on the particular model advertised, I asked innocently if they had taken it off? The reply I received was 'So what if I have, it's my bike rack as I bought the van! This was followed by 'Thank you, goodbye and the phone being put down.

Well I thought, if this is an example of their attitude towards a potential customer, god help you once they have got your money! I would sooner take my £35k elsewhere!

Sue30's & McMillian are the same negative reviewer of our company and are looking to try and damage our hard earned good reputation.

35k, 100k wouldn't make any difference to the reply we've given. In fact we were unaware of this review site hence the long delay in responding.

Sue30

Think the mention of £35k got you this response, you had a lucky escape from this company believe me stay well clear.

VWCampersales

Sorry for any offence taken, bike racks are not standard fitment, sorry if you misinterpreted our response and that I didn't explain it more carefully. We have excellent customer relations as per our website feedback.

Appalling Service From Vw Campersales Burgess Hill Rh1 8qy

Purchased a Westfalia Camper from this garage, drove it home smoke pouring out of the exhaust and fumes in the cab. They were not in the least bit interested in fixing the problem . All that mattered to them was it had passed it's mot before I purchased it. They agreed to take it back after keeping £500 of my money for preparing the vehicle. Please stay clear of this garage you will not get any warranty as promised on their website. They do not care anything about customer service, I worked extremely hard for that money to be just taken away from me so easily.

I am still upset by the bullying tactics of this company they have affected my life tremendously.

How do you explain the report from your independent garage that you took the vehicle to, "nothing excessive"

The emission test before and after stating fast pass along with the printed figures from the GOV tested machine.

The fact we resold the vehicle and the new owner has covered over 10,000 miles and never once mentioned any smoke or loss of oil.

We were under no obligation to buy the vehicle back and there were no necessary repairs required. We done so and set out the terms very clearly offering a full refund if upon return we see the black smoke you have described which we couldn't and to be very sure we took it for another emission test that it passed and we gave you the print out.

You had three options, trust your independent garage, our VW trained mechanic and two MOT gas analysers and use the vehicle.

Leave it with us and once sold we would give you a full refund.

Or our offer to buy it back less £500 to cover our preparation and administration costs.

I cannot understand how you think we could not have been any fairer. We offered all this in writing, we didn't stall in anyway or ignore your concerns. We asked you to have it checked independently straight away and paid you on return of the vehicle. All this is available. You clearly want to damage our reputation and are accusing us of making false testimonials, feedback and treating a women unfairly. We've kept to the facts that speak for themselves.

I 100% stand by what I said in my very honest review. I do not recommend your garage Vw campersales to anyone whatsoever who is looking for good customer service. I was mislead by the VW campersales name you use as I thought you were part of the VW company . They have absolutely fabulous customer services. How very wrong was I to think you would offer the same. I drove the vehicle in question home 90 miles and was abused by other drivers who had the unfortunate experience of being behind my vehicle. I could clearly see the smoke in my side mirrors and the vehicle engine was warm at the time. Accelerating uphill also caused it to smoke. I had the vehicle less than 48hours it cost me £500 I still have sleepless nights about this loss of my hard earned money. I asked the opinions of members of the VW T4 site at the time and everyone said that your company was wrong to do what you did. I mentioned about the lights, but you still had the lights so I got nothing just a loss of £500. I felt that as a female I was taken advantage of by your company and again warn anyone who is thinking of using your company to think again rather than risk losing money it is just not worth the heartache. I do not think you worked hard on your customer service where I was concerned. Through experience any good feedback should be taken with a pinch of salt any person can give good feedback on their websites especially when the person giving the feedback does not exist. I hope that this review which I put on at the time nearly 2 years ago has helped people think again when buying from VW Campersales. I can only go by my experiece with you which was and still is a extremely sad one which I am sad to say will never be forgotton.

Dear McMilian 166. The vehicle was a 1998 Westfalia VW T4 TDI with 150,000 miles. We had serviced and prepared the camper correctly on site before it left our premises and there was no excessive smoke. From cold like any older diesel TDI you can expect higher emissions and they cleared once the engine was warm. There was no excessive smoke or fumes pouring out the exhaust and fumes in the cab when the vehicle left our premises. When you told us about I thought maybe the turbo had failed or the engine developed a fault. I asked you to take the vehicle for inspection to an independent diesel specialist of your choice. They reported "Nothing excessive, wear and tear as expected for age and mileage." I was surprised as this was not what you were describing. At this stage I was under no obligation to do anything else. The vehicle wasn't broken, any wear was in line with its age and mileage. I asked what you wanted and you wanted to return the vehicle, not for us to carry out any repairs, only for a refund. I offered to buy the vehicle back as an act of goodwill and offered a full refund if you could demonstrate and we could see this excessive smoke and if it registered high on the emission test. If not I said I would withhold £500 to cover us changing the headlights, fog lights, warranty policy, additional owner, cleaning and administration. This was all clearly stated by letter and email. On return there was no evidence of any excessive smoke, we took the vehicle to the independent MOT garage and the emissions were well within the test. I demonstrated a couple of other vehicles from cold to show you the emissions were exactly the same but you still wanted the refund and fully understood that it would be less £500 to cover our costs. I transferred the money back in to your account. You then wrote asking for the £500 back, I again explained the outline and that I was happy to explain this to anyone and the law as we had acted above and beyond any responsibility we have. I do not know of any other dealer that would buy a vehicle back under these circumstances, we reacted very quickly with integrity to resolve the situation. The fact is there was no excessive smoke, you simply bought an older vehicle and didn't appreciate it would have general wear. I'd note we sold the vehicle since and the owner has been back and forth to Cornwall many times without any issue and loves the vehicle. I am sorry you feel poorly treated and gave us this review. We too work extremely hard and pride ourselves on our feedback and customer service that can be seen on our website.
