Rip Off
I just rang to change my address and they charged me the difference in premium which is fine but also a £50 administration fee. Stay well clear unless you want to be fleeced. Also as others have said, the price changes when you call them so take any online quotes with a pinch of salt.

Absolutely The Worst!
Absolutely the worst car insurance I have ever had to deal with!
I thought was great price, but let's be honest I knew will probably be low standards and surely was! After few months with insurer, I moved and I needed to change my address. The new place didn't have parking space therfore car had to be parked on road away from home, hint why they wanted £456 extra on top of my £51 monthly premium. Tried to find out best and cheapest parking solution, I was hoping that customer service would be able to help me. Not at all! Spoke to 2 different advisers, they had no interest in helping me or even to listen to what actually I'm trying to achieve! 3rd time the girl was useful , however she said that I would have to pay full amount of £456, but they'll do me a favour and accept it within 4 instalments. Do me a favour? A favour would be to do what asked and up my monthly premium instead insisting paying money straight away, putting me in a very difficult financial situation! Found new insurer, so I called ignition to find out how much it will cost me to cancel."If you cancel today, you'll have to pay £74, but you can't cancel over the phone, you have to email to us" WHAT????! Ok email straight away to cancel immediately stating date 09.01.17 at 14:00. Received automated email that they received my email. Next day receive email "We have received notification that you want to cancel your policy from 10.01.17, that will cost £81" SERIOUSLY? Called customer service, explained situation, asked to speak manager... "We don't have manager here" USEFUL... Asked to listen to phone call from previous day, adviser said she'll speak to manager and call me back... I THOUGHT SHE SAID THERE WASN'T ONE THERE?!? Called back " will take a while to listen to call, so we agreed to take your word for it and lower it to £74" IN OTHER WORDS MANAGER CAN'T BE BOTHERED... By the way every time you call customer, it takes 20-30min for someone to answer. I don't have unlimited minutes therefore it cost me fortunes! DO NOT USE THIS CAR INSURANCE. PRICE MIGHT BE GOOD BUT YOU'LL BACK FOR IT WHEN THE PROBLEM ARISE. THEY SIMPLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMER!

Ignition Select - Avoid At All Costs
Took out insurance with them as they were the cheapest option. I have been driving 10 years and never had an accident or claim however I do have 8 points. Premium was £1200 with £700 excess for a nice 2.0L diesel rear wheel drive car which I had on lease.
Experience with them was poor from the start when they questioned where the car was parked overnight. I live in a gated apartment block with secure entry and designated parking space...
Unfortunately I skidded off the M6 in terrible snowy conditions and hit the outer reservation when driving up to Scotland. No other cars involved and luckily no one was injured. There was damage and car was deemed a CAT D write off.
It has taken six weeks of me chasing them on daily basis to get this resolved. They don't seem to do anything unless pushed. No courtesy car and I done all the chasing between bodyshops, tow/recovery companies, lease company etc etc. Customer service is terrile, rude staff who sent me incorrect documents on numerous occasions while trying to resolve and settle the case. Had to wait on hold for 30mins every time I phoned them to speak to an 'advisor'.
AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!! I should have paid extra and went for a reputable company. Lesson learned from my point of view.

Would Not Recommend
Ignition were the cheapest through comparison site. I chose £150 voluntary excess on top of £100 compulsory. Had to call them to purchase but then they said the excess would be £500. Why??? Because after looking on google maps they didn't like my drive as it may not have a dropped kerb. I confirmed it had but they said oh well even if you send us a photo as proof we won't lower the excess. They then went on to say as you're 25 you may be a young driver. Nope, their small print states 17-24. Still they won't lower the excess!! I thought a quote was a quote, not an estimate? Wish I'd read their reviews in advance. Might lodge a formal complaint.
Awful Do Not Call Them Whatever You Do
These guys are here to make money and the price they advertise is never what your final bill comes up to, avoid like the plague they waste your time, overcharge you and rip you off.

Don't Honour Prices Offered On Comparison Sites
So when I filled out the form I put my NCB as 15 years which is right, however my present insurer said that they only count to a maximum of 9 which is standard in the insurance industry, I also said that I have use of another car as my company frequently supplies hire cars and insures us to use them. Was told that due to these variations the price would have to go up by about £60. When I went on line and resubmitted the details the price was £5.68 more expensive. They then rang back and said they could do it for about £30 more. I tried a few more comparison sites with the revised details and that started coming back at the same rate as my original quote. I was told they wouldn't honour the prices offered through 2 different comparison sites . Don’t trust their prices they get you to ring so they can try and charge more. I’m going to report the them to the Financial Ombudsman.

Cancelled
Ignition wanted mine and my partners licence and access codes sent over, happy to do so. i didn't realise the email was in my outbox due to flying abroad, i came back to an email saying my policy been cancelled. called today to discuss was told the was a £76 cancellation fee due. why when they cancelled not me? anyway said i'll pay and can they just re instate my policy. nope it has to start a whole new one....OK so i assume the £400 deposit will get carried over to the new account policy?... no. they need another deposit leaving I've lost that one! the policy was only taken out 16 days ago! granted send the documents was my responsibility, just with moving house and having to fly to Germany for a family bereavement kind of took priority and i didn't check my email was sent correctly. £400 + £205 + £76 for 16 days insurance, ignition are not so cheap after all.
DO NOT USE IGNITION SELECT!
