Used Zorbas 2 or 3 times, recently for a 4 week hire from Heraklion airport. Always found them totally trustworthy. Easy to arrange the hire by email and excellent service at airport so a quick getaway. The cars have always been completely reliable and no trouble coping with the often demanding terrain. Very reasonably priced with no hidden extras. Especially good for older drivers; at over 75 and 80, we’re often quoted high extra costs. We will always go straight to Zorbas and not bother with other quotes.

I have rented cars from Zorba's for about five years now, after using various other services. They meet me at the airport in Chania with the car, we sign the paperwork, and we are off. When my holiday is over, I just leave the car at the airport and meet my flight. One time, one of the wheels of my car was damaged due to driving on rough terrain. Zorba's sent a driver from Heraklion (about 2 hours away) with a new car, and he took the damaged car back. I saw no charge for that extraordinary service.

Zorba's staff are always friendly and helpful. They always answer their mobile number when I call for help or advice. Their rates are very competitive, and they always find the type of car I need. I have recommended Zorba's to several friends already. I look forward to a continued relationship with this excellent company.

We have been using Zorbas for several years on our visits to Crete. The service is always excellent - we have never been let down. The prices are very competitive and no hidden extras for insurance, unlike many other car hire companies. Pick up and drop off couldn't be simpler whether you are being met at the airport or arriving by boat in the port. We would highly recommend this local, family run firm for anyone visiting Crete!

Just back from a 2 weeks holiday in Crete where we rent a car from Zorbas. From the first contact via email, everything was clear and appears to be cheeper than the other companies (especially the insurances).

Somebody was waiting for us at Chania airport do arrange the papers and deliver the car. We had the nice surprise to receive an upgrade for the same size.

Drop off at Chania airport was really easy and quick.

We highly recommend Zorbas rent a car for the next ones who are going to visit this beautifull island.

планировали поездку на Крит. необходима была машина так как от порта до гостиницы 150 км. и хотелось посмотреть другие достопримечательности на острове. это был первый опыт аренды машины за рубежом. долго выбирал компанию. вначале попытались арендовать через крупные сетевые компании. в итоге заплатили депозит. после долгих переговоров оказалось что необходимы какие то права международного образца. и были какие то кабальные условия аренды и депозита. прорыл все форумы и нашел отзыв о компании zorbas. на сайте забронировал машину. никаких депозитов и предоплат. по приезду встретили сотрудники и сама милая хозяйка компании. в общем попал как бы в милую семейную атмосферу. подписал бумаги, никаких депозитов, выдали новенькую хонду гибрид с автомат коробкой. попросили обращаться в случае необходимой помощи. машина супер. объездили весь остров без происшествий. оставили в аэропорту на стоянке. как просила компания. в общем РЕКОМЕНДУЮ!!!

We are planning a trip to Crete. I needed a car because of the port to the hotel 150 km. and wanted to see other sights on the island. it was the first experience renting cars abroad. long time to choose a company. first tried to hire through the large network companies. ultimately paid the deposit. after long negotiations it turned out that what is needed is the right international standard. and then there were some onerous terms of the lease and deposit. I dug all the forums and found a Company Review zorbas. Online booked a car. No deposits and prepayments. on arrival we met with employees and the company itself is lovely hostess. in general, as it was in a lovely family atmosphere. I signed the papers, no deposits, issued a brand new Honda hybrid with automatic transmission. asked to contact in case of necessary assistance. car super. We traveled the whole island without incident. We left at the airport parking lot. as requested by the company. in general, I recommend !!!

Great small company, 100 percent reliable,honest,and trustworthy towards every customer

I have been using Zorbas for the past five years, three times per year. The price is consistently less than other companies. We have visitors out to our holiday home who often want to borrow the car for a couple of days. Zorba's happily add them to the insurance without us having to pay. The service is friendly and personal. They upgrade without charge if they can and cannot do enough to ensure that all goes smoothly. Pay on arrival by credit card or cash and off you go .What a pleasure to do business with them!

What can i add to that?They did not try to sell me extras with horror storys if something went wrong,there is no bulls**t.

Just a great little company trading honestly which is why i have used them

twice a year for the last three years now.

The only thing i would say is that check the fuel as once or twice it has been low and if you hit the highway without top up it can be bit of a run to next fuel stop at night as some fuel stops close early.

Having said that i was heading for Chania from Heraklion so bit of longer run than most first day arrivals.

Excellent technical condiion of cars, great set of insurances, true 24-hours road help - all these enough for us to have chosen Zorbas in 2011 once again.

We were met at airport, took the car from parking nearby and drove to Plakias. During two weeks we visited Plakias, Hora Sfakion, Aradena, Falasarna, Kissamos, Agii Apostoli, Theriso, Rethymno. All in all, Zorbas is very much recommended.
