Dont Use !! Dont Be Fooled By Online Prices
Booked a car online , arrived to collect but was asked for a further €40 euros a day or a €2800 deposit , told them forget it , he said he will charge the €258 if I don’t take it , told him to keep his car and left , reported to the card company like everyone should do for misrepresentation . Wasted my time and was lucky to keep his teeth with his attitude and manner !

Reliable And Efficent
Fantastic customer service from my visit on 16th Nov. Very friendly staff member. Easy to talk to and help with all my questions. Will definitely recommend the services.
Stay Away
If I could give them zero stars I would. Please do not use this company. I reserved a vehicle online and they attempted to give me a much larger vehicle that was not prepared. Looking inside the vehicle was dirty and had multiple baby car seats inside. I did not take possession of the vehicle. I rented a 7 passenger van and they attempted to give me a 9 passenger vehicle and said that this was equivalent to the term 'similar' which was never stated in the booking confirmation. In the country I was visiting the driving is difficult and I explained this is not the vehicle I rented. I had called a couple days ago as well because my family and I missed our connecting flight and I wanted to cancel. The owner and operator was very rude and argued with me and said a full cancellation amount would be charged. I said I would pay for a day or two or some amount but they have no heart or understanding. Twice the owner hung up on me after screaming and shouting. When I was in the office in person the person helping us sold us a bill of goods stating if the extra insurance was not purchased it could potentially cost me close to $4k more. If you rent from this place they will charge you $500-600 more in insurance on top of the rental. There are ways to recoup your losses should you fall for this sham. When I was in the office the person helping us said he could not call the owner because it was 4:30pm and he wouldn't be available. I called him right in front of him and the owner answered and I handed my phone to the employee. The owner proceeded to yell and scream at me over the phone. He then treid to be a wise guy and say "oh you want a 7 seater, I'll take two seats out and now from 9 seater it will be a 7 seater." I wonder if his mother knows what he does for a living. Treating people horrifically. The next day they called to try and give me a 5 seater. Again, not the car I rented and verified months ago. Of course there would be no difference in payment though. I declined in order to recoup my losses by not taking possession. As I left the office another car rental company next door saw what was going on and this person said you can't trust those guys and that they pull fast ones all the time. I only tried to use this company becuase they were the only company offering the vehicle I needed/wanted only to find out they advertise falsely. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!

Alert
BUYER BEWARE!!! DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!
This company essentially doesn't exist. It is just a made up name - one of many, that the parent company uses to hide from bad reviews which it rightfully deserves.
Good luck finding them!! They are nothing more than an unmarked desk buried in a shared office on the first floor of the Park East building.
They will charge you an extra €30 if you arrive even one minute after 2030! There are no directions to car rental offices from the main terminal. The walk to the Park East building is almost 1KM.
They will charge you €40 and provide half tank of fuel and tell you to bring the car back as close to empty as possible. They do not want you to put fuel in the car and will give you no credit for it to take you of €40 since nobody is willing to run out of fuel when returning to the airport to catch their departing flight!!
The car they rent you is a high mileage (>67,000 km) that looks like it has been in a crash derby with a burned out clutch. They will ask you to inspect it for damage knowing full well that you won't be able to find it all and you can fully expect to pay for the pre-existing damage that you didn't find when you return the car!!
Their attitude and customer service is beyond rude!! This is your first impression after arriving in Malta!! They are TERIBLE ambassadors for their own country!!

Never, Never Rent A Car From This Company
Be very careful with this company, for my part they already have a first complaint with the police. Very little serious people and specialist in deceiving tourists.
Be very careful, they are bad people and do not be fooled by their rates, once in the office they will make you pay more and if you do not agree they breach the contract and leave you stranded without the car you had reserved and to find your life as you can.
if you want more detailed information it will be a pleasure

Beware Of Hidden Costs
My experience is: the car was ok, but they cheat on the price in two ways:
First, they added EUR 45 for a half full tank of petrol to the rental rate. Not only is this hugely overpriced, but also you don't get anything back if you don't use it up.
Second, and this is relevant if your currency is not Euros: they charge a hugely inflated exchange rate. Add 10% of your rental cost for that.
Bear that in mind when you're comparing prices, and Malta First seems the cheapest option.
What An Awful, Useless Website,
It really is a waste of bandwidth!
I'm in Malta searching the web for a particular car to rent and my results are full of links to this unworkable website which doesn't work.
All I have found if that MaltaFistCarHire is an agency for lots of other car hire companies with no control or interest in what you want or what you get.

Malta First Car Hire And Argus Website
I visited Argus Car Rental and they sent me a voucher that provided a link to Car Trawler, who gave me a cheap deal with Malta First Car Hire. It was to be a Peugot 107 but most of these cars are similar car sizes, i was given a Hyundai.
Firstly they were keen to get me to buy their daily insurance, as the excess was euro 1200 ! I have an annual cover which cost me for the year the equivalent of their two days of cover!
They then proceeded to charge me for a half tank of fuel (return empty) which they wished to charge me euro 45, now this car holds 35 litres of fuel and so a half tank at the local price or euro 1.43 should have been Euro 25. I asked how much i was being charged for the fuel, and the man said, "do you want a hire car or not?" I said that I resented paying such a mark up without being warned before hand, and he simply said "Im not paid to argue with you, do you want it or not?" "Argus forgot to put the details of the fuel cost on their web site" I pointed out that they were his agent, not mine.
Now as a tourist i simply haven't got the time or complex energy to walk away as there is no guarantee that anyone else will have a car, and besides, I had already paid a chunk to Argus.
I went out to get the car
The car was old, 90,000 miles, tired, but okish. The fuel guage showed just below a half tank, and so i asked the chap who was giving it to me, where the rest of the fuel was, and he launched into a major paddy about how he was only trying to provide a service, it wasnt his fault, and it was at half when he picked it up from the parking site sone 10 metres from where were standing.
What ever you do don't use Argus, don't use Malta First, and report this stuff to the tourist authority, because it really puts you in a bad frame of mind before your holiday.
