“Terrible and shocking company.”

We purchased a car at long distance via a middle party who found our car and organised our finance for us. As we were purchasing the vehicle at long distance we were supplied with a condition report by Direct cars which was meant to show the damage if there was any. We received our report and no damage was declared prior to purchase . On day of delivery we had a dent in the wing - A deep nasty scratch to the bonnet a rusty stone chip on the passenger side of the window and chips to the rear bumper . And of course the air conditioning didn’t work and the car was dirty!!! None of this damage was even mentioned to us or declared on the condition report prior to purchase. Our finance organiser tried to sort this for us and was told that direct cars would take no responsibility for the vehicles paint work or damage but did however offer us a £100.00 - good will gesture for the inconvenience but would not sort the damage . We told them to stick it as this wouldn’t even sort the stone chip . The damage to the car Totalled £730.00.to have sorted and thankfully our secondary party has now sorted. This company clearly lie about the condition of their vehicles so if you are buying at long distance then I would advise to either make the trip to see the vehicle or just avoid this company totally. I myself will never recommend direct cars - will never use this company again and their company and after sales service is a total joke, that isn’t even funny and I would advise to avoid at all costs to avoid the stress alone Really disappointing Deceitful company . Avoid at all cost !!!!!!!

“DirectCars sheffield well worth a visit”

emailed the other day asking if the car was still for sale then travelled 130 mile to look at the car. the car was sanitized ready for us to view, drive, what ever we wanted. we had the keys handed to us and then told to take our time and just give the guys a shout when we finished "No Hassle at all". to be honest the car was as described everything was what we expected. before we left we had a walk around and they had many people viewing the cars. they are the first we have visited with out the hassle they do actually leave you alone, it was so nice. We did not buy the car as it was £300 over our budget then needed the £150 tax plus told they ask for £50 to prep the car. So as they dont offer a discount for cash transaction even without a trade in, i thought £13k was enough to pay for the car. shame as i would have bought the car. Maybe its down to this covid and not getting to discuss who knows.

Direct Cars provided an excellent car shopping experience. There was absolutely no hassle. I was able to look at the cars on offer, and when I said I liked a few of them I was able to get the keys from reception and sit in them etc with no salesperson present. I was then able to test drive the car. O.K., an employee was in the car with me, but I didn't actually mind that, and could understand why it was necessary. I eventually bought my car with no hard sell salesperson breathing over my shoulder. They did offer Gap and extended warranty, but did not pressurise me in any way. After a week or so I reported that the inbuilt satnav was not working properly. I was booked in to get it fixed a couple of days later. When I took it in, they told me they could do it that day, but that it would take a few hours. I was given a replacement car for that time, and was phoned when the satnav had been replaced. I cannot fault Direct Cars for the service they provided, and can highly recommend them.

“Just okay service”

Went to look at cars last week and found one we liked and paid the deposit, ready to be picked up today. We were told that in the mean time the car would be serviced and valeted etc (I believe there was a £50 "admin" fee for this). The service we received was good and the sales reps didn't pester us at all and only acknowledge us when we approached them and we were happy with our experience Picked my car up today and after I got home I noticed there was a dirty mark in the back seat which had been there when we had initially looked in the car last week. It was an obvious and fairly large mark which would be noticed by anyone looking in the back, so either the person valeting the car was very bad at valeting, or they did not bother valeting at all. All it took was me wiping a wet finger over it and the mark was gone so it was hardly a big thing to clean which leads me to believe they didn't valet the interior as they said they had on the form they gave me. Not a big deal, but I wouldn't buy from them again. What else might they lie about?

On arrival I was greeted by salesman D Milnes (not pestered), staff there to offer help and advice when needed. I was offered more than expected to part exchange my car. Excellent warranties available. Fantastic service *****

I started my day looking round all the different dealership and all I got was hassle, i have never been to direct cars before I can't believe I bought my previous cars from elsewhere.. It's hassle free way to buy a car is spot on its true I walked round found my car, walked into the showroom when I was approached by a lovely salemen R o b who gave me honest advise he couldn't be more then helpful, 10/10 direct cars I will be back again!!!!!

What a fantastic place to buy a car, after looking round at loads of different places I finally found my perfect car at Direct Cars at a unbelievably low price! Brilliant people to deal with from start to finish our salesman Garth was a pleasure to talk to and helped us out with our every need. I can't believe I didn't find you sooner and I will be back in the near future to change my wife's car and won't bother looking anywhere else! Great job Direct Cars see you all again very soon.

“Car not fit for sale”

We went to buy a focus last Saturday with private plates. They took £50 for preparing it to be ready for Tuesday. Today came and still not ready one week later as the documents not arrived from dvla to change the Irish plates. On quesrioning why it was for sale if it wssnt prepared they said it isnt normally a problem. This is false advertising of cars. We have now gone elsewhere but we cannot get our £50 back as they got the car ready when it shouldn't have been on the forecourt. They didn't give a monkeys that we cancelled our order.

“Horrible Salesmen. ”

Can't test dive the cars until you've agreed figures.... Stupid. Sales people know nothing about the cars themselves. I was unfortunate to me so one with the name starting with R and ending in T .... Absolutely useless and rude! Wouldn't agree to sort any niggly bits out on the car curbed alloys Ect... I then asked about a few other things... I voiced I'd seen the same car around a grand cheaper at another dealership. But I wanted this car in this colour from these people. He basically told me to 'snap there hands off' even though I'd expressed I was going to buy one of these Ford STs today. (He knew nothing about them anyways) In keeping this short. I did exactly what he said and got a 18month newer car at a far better price. Direct cars lost a £14k sale that day due to apauling sales personal and lack of care! Some custermor training seriously needed in the establishment!

“Worst customer service ever come across!!!”

I was hounded from the second I walked in the door. I had a test drive, liked the car and wanted to see another car to ensure this one was the one. The sales man refused to give me the keys and told me he was only going to sell me this one car I had test drove....WHAT!?! He was very condescending, rude and quite aggressive and certainly didn't care about his customers. I left and said we would think about it. When I returned to buy the car ready with deposit, I asked for a second test drive so my mechanic bother in law could check it ran well. The same man refused to let me go for a test drive saying they needed to agree figures. Problem was we had agreed figures in principle so this was just an excuse. Myself and brother in law were again shocked at the way he spoke to us. I am not one to ever complain but I later spoke to the manager and explained very calmly and reasonably that I was not very happy with the customer service received on both occasions. The manager told me I was lying and that I said I wasn't buying the car, which I never said. He got very heated and aggressive towards me. He would not listen to anything I had to say and told me 'I'm talking now so shut up' he continued to shout and hurl abuse before saying 'this conversation is over' and put the phone down. I could not believe a grown man would shout at a 25 year old woman like that. I have never been spoken to in that way before, I would never go back and would never recommend anyone to waste their time going to be treated so badly.

“need to work on their customer service ”

Bought my car from here in January 2015 and within 3 months it needed a new clutch bearing in mind it's on an 11 plate,now the cruise control doesn't work and also the stop start button,so I get through and the receptionist is rude cuts me off half way through speaking and puts me on hold then i got put through to the garage,the guy tells me the stop start always can be a problem and told me to Google it and find out for myself wot the problem is,didn't expect that when I've paid for a years extended warranty! Then asked me how and why the cruise control isn't working well I'm not a mechanic I'm a women that doesn't really know that much about cars,oh yes and another thing if you take your car in make sure if you haven't any other transport to mention you need a curtersy car as they don't ask you if you need one which isn't too hard for them,just means they book you back in about 3 weeks later what a waste of time

me and my family have had about 6 cars in the last 3 years I bought a ds5 on the 16/2/2015 on the 17/2/2015 I rang them with 4 problems 1 a scratch to the rear bumper 2 a dint to the rear quarter 3 the heat shield on the exhaust rattling and 4 the main 1 for no reason at all the car would pull to the left the car went back in the first week for 6 days when I picked it up I was told that the car has a anti torque system that was at fault none of the other items had been touched driving the car home it pulled to the left again so I rang them again I took the car back again and one of the fitters bent the heat shield back(very proper)and nothing else was done ive been to citreon twice and now direct cars have fetched it back so it still goes on ive got no car at mo and as a lot of other people state the after sales is not there you are treated like dirt

Just amazing service from start to finish Test drive not a problem even after my 4th test drive of the day they still offered me to go and sleep on it What Garage would offer to do that? “No test drive before we value your trade in?!”

My wife and I went to buy a car from Direct Cars today, 8/1/2015, but left without spending any money there. We wanted to look at two cars and went to see a salesman, the first car was a Peugeot 3008 priced at £8,699(?) the clerk insisted he take me as he was not sure the car would open. On arriving at the car it had a flat battery and so we couldn't start the car to hear the engine. We looked at other cars and got the keys for another to look inside, this did start. It was now time for a test drive so I asked the salesman if we could take a test drive. He told us that we would need to have our car valued and agree a price for the sale before we could take a test drive ( my wife had advised me that they may try this tactic before a test drive as a friend had the same experience). I wanted to test the car before we got to look at deals and the prices are on display on all the cars so I could not agree to this tactic. The salesman was adamant that we would need to do this before any test drive. Our current car was purchased from this dealer and I found this type of sales tactic insulting. In addition we were the only customers on the site at this time. We left and went to another car dealer where we took a test drive without any trouble and bought a car, for cash, that afternoon. Don't put up with them.

Bought a 13 reg vauxhall. I had shopped around and found that direct cars was £1200 cheaper than any other dealer! And on top of that, they also gave me £400 more for my old car than any other garage I had been to! Excellent service, and overall a great buying experience. The no pressure from the sales guys was also a great factor, but when I needed help they was more than willing. Would definitely recommend!! Well done guys!!!!
