Policy did not renew automatically - my fault for not noticing this. However, a new quote immediately (as in, just after midnight) was 50% higher than the renewal quote! You are providing THE SAME COVER to THE SAME CAR over THE SAME TIME PERIOD! Absolutely pathetic conduct, morally bankrupt little company with zero respect for loyal customers and an imbecilic approach to business. You lost my custom for DECADES.

October 2017 my car was involved in an accident, I was with Quotemehappy. The offending driver’s insurance accepted their client was at fault, the police gave him 6 points on his driving licence and a fine. However, the insurance claim which Carpenters conducted has only just been completed, July 2023, over five and a half years later. Over this time I have been asked repeatedly to submit information that has already been submitted, agents have come and gone and when challenged current agents have suggested the fault lies with previous employees of Carpenters. I have had requests for updates ignored and have been told that I have had documents emailed to me, statements which were blatantly untrue. I feel that this claim was dealt with unprofessionally with an attitude of disinterest at best. I have made my concerns known to the most recent case handler and have been told I would be contacted after making general complaints – this never happened. I feel the time this has taken was unacceptable, and the attitude of all at carpenters was poor. Quotemehappy take note; you are as strong as your weakest link, your weakest link is Carpenters and it’s a very weak link.

Locked account although password etc has been noted and can not get into account as need to inform them of a medical condition. Just keeps returning to the same thing. So frustrating. On-line customer service is non existant and it's an On-line only company. At boiling point.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They sent me a FAULTY BLACK BOX which I’ve contacted them numerous times about and still I have been emailed 4 times being threatened that they will cancel my policy. I don’t drive fast or dangerous I have no reason to be untrue about fitting the black box and have evidence I’ve tried contacting them countless times, can never actually speak to a human and when you do they don’t help at all. They cancelled my policy this morning costing me money because I can’t get to work without insurance due to being self-employed. I’ve given them around £600-700 so far since joining them, just to be ignored.

Home insurance was great with no claims but changed my email address and because of that there is no way to get into my account or speak to anyone to resolve it. Sounds simple as if there would be an easy fix but there isn't with this company. Wont use again as a result.

Avoid at all costs ive been insured with quote me happy for three years and all is fine untill you need to claim my car was hit by the third party non fault claim the damage was minor damaged on the rear offside wheelarch...Solus estimated the damage via photo's at £3,000 and said my car is only worth £2,000 and said they are writing it off, bearing in mind the cost of the repair has to be 50% more than the cars value so conviently it was £3,000. Yesterday the 3rd november i took it for a 2nd and 3rd assesment to two insurance accredited garages and was quoted £200 and £230 for the same work i rang quote me happy and apparently my and the other two bodywork repair garages opinion doesn't matter and if i continue with my claim my car will be written off so i have closed the claim and now have to pay for the repairs myself...and the quote me happy customer service was quite rude i wont be renewing my policy and neither will my son the cheapest isn't always the best

Absolutely useless My current policy ends 4th March I'm going away 11th Feb until 11th April, need to add a friend to my policy so he can walk my dog Obviously none of their online FAQ help meets my request Completed and submitted their 24hr query form Received reply, busy! and got inundated with spam replies referring me to How to Add a new driver, How to renew policy etc But no actual factual reply that actually answers my query, so I'm left here frustrated and stressed So thought I'll add my friend to my current policy, and start a new policy with another company Completed their online Add a new driver form, and it came back with confusing figures, with a last line that says Amount to pay £6.36! That can't be right as their admin fee is usually approximately £30 already, so I'm more confused. So completed another form to ask if this is correct? No wonder their admin is busy, if all their online processes do is confuse their customers and generate more online form queries! Can't wait to ditch this cumbersome white elephant!

Following on from other reviews I wanted to back up the experiences of others that Quote Me Happy does not have customer service. The only number you are given is a claims number and this goes straight through to an automated referral service for either the RAC or window repair service. This company seems to have been set up without any customer service representatives at all, which is the last thing you want if you have to make a claim. Additionally there are hidden charges, such as trying to charge £25 if you want to cancel even before the policy has started (which is contradictory to the Financial Services (Distance Marketing Regulations) 2004.) If you use the quote they give you you should be able to get a company that has a customer service department to match their quote. I would strongly advice avoiding this company.

Having been with Quote Me Happy for 7 years and never needed to make a claim, I recently had to cancel my insurance with them because my car got written off. I could only contact them by email which took days and days to solve my issue, I got not only charged too much for the cancellation fee but also they refunded me only some of my money. £80 too short. After that they stopped responding to my emails. I was absolutely disgusted with the service I got from Quote Me Happy and would advise everyone not to do business with them. I will be getting in touch with BBC Watchdog to have Quote Me Happy investigated.

Tried to find a way of contacting the Jokers about cancelling my car insurance annual premium, but every email bounces back. Cancelled at Bank. Gone with Direct Line at least you can speak to someone there and they send the paper work out.

I have had car insurance cover twice with QMH and I find their online process totally fine and adequate with a good website. I was under the impression the savings in policy prices was due to lower risk drivers and online service. However having been unfortunate enough to have to make a claim, I have now to my detriment realised their savings are generated by not actually providing comprehensive cover at the same level as their parent company Aviva which they conveniently do not mention in their policy documents. They DO NOT COVER CHILD CAR SEAT REPLACEMENT! ! ROSPA and all car seat manufacturers recommend no matter if the seats seem ok they should always be replaced. Aviva do cover this cost, but QMH do not. I was offered £150 towards personal belongings damage which given I had two group 1 Cybex car seats to replace doesn’t even touch the sides! I QMH took over 4 weeks to repair my car, it really wasn’t that badly damaged and 5 weeks to reply to my complaint regarding the car seats costs. The complaint reply was a standard template later FROM AVIVA !!! stating the QMH policy meets the legal definition of comprehensive cover but that AVIVA choose to go above and beyond this. I was even told by my claims handler that if my accident was someone else’s fault they would have claimed the full cost from the other party!!! So it is necessary to replace car seats when someone else is paying but not if it is them!! I will be following this up with the Financial Obudsman as nowhere in their policy documentation does it mention car seats and in the list of personal belongings is items such as phones and handbags. I believe this is being intentionally deceptive. BUYER BEWARE!

The price is low and enticing, this is because they don't have a call centre which sounds like a bonus. I have had a non fault incident recently and this joke of an insurance have not bothered to try contacting me (nor do they pick up on their accident line) in regards to the incident, instead I keep receiving emails saying they "unable to answer any queries regarding existing claims". The phone call I was promised after the incident never happened, and I am unable to get a hold of these people. All thanks to this company my premium has raised by £200 and I'm having to deal with the damage done to my car by myself. Their name should be "Quoteandscrewme.com".

Cheap as online but you pay for this when you need to claim. Limited repair network able to do authorised repairs to an Audi, with the nearest being 30 miles away which just complicated the process the added time to returning the car. When we spoke to the authorised repairer - they moaned as it was out of their area and continually complained about the company getting things wrong. Impossible to speak to on the phone - often had to wait for over an hour to get through to anyone and no-one seems interested in this, as though its the norm. Poor communication throughout the process - they outsource the repair management to another company who send the odd text but no customer service focus. It's an online only brand that try to keep costs as low as possible - I would avoid and pay a little more for a company more focused on customers.

See e-mails send to a Customer Service Member below: From this e-mail, not inclosed for this intent and purpose, I took it that the payment has gone through and that my vehicle in fully insured. It was not until I received a penalty charge from the DVLA that I reviewed my account and found that the vehicle is in fact not insured. I am questioning why I was not informed of this and where things went wrong in the process?? How can I ensure that this get dealt with as there is no contact number for Quote me Happy to speak to a Customer Service Menber?? How do I proceed from Here?? Reply by Quote me Happy: Hello, Thank you for your email. The email you have attached dated 13/07/17, states that your payment details have been updated. It does not confirm that your renewal has gone ahead and your payment has been taken. On 14/07/17, we sent you an email advising that 'Your car policy expired at 23:59 on 13/07/17'. On the same date, we also emailed your 'Proof of NCD', also stating the policy had expired. We did make you aware that the policy had ran out. As the policy has expired, we are unable to re-instate it. If you wish to continue insuring with us, you will need to complete and set up a new quote on our website. I apologise for any confusion caused and I have raised and closed an Expression of Dissatisfaction on your behalf, you will receive a letter within 10 working days confirming this. Thank you, My final reply: I did receive the e-mail on the 14/07/2017, LESS than 2 hours after the previous e-mail stating the starting date of my policy. But thought it was send by mistake due to the timeframe, less than 2 hours, and the fact the NO Reason was provided why the quote of 410 pounds and change to payment details provided was not accepted by the Insurer. Does the above reason not sound logical? Can you at least inform me why my request for renewal on the 13/07/2017 was not processed by Quote me Happy?? But I guess I will be fighting a loosing battle based on the tone of your e-mail.... Therefore I will rather not use Quote me Happy, as the company is clearly not interested in the customer orientated service. The company should really strive to do more than just providing customers a "Happy Quote". Kind regards They do not even have a contact telephone number. Please stay away as only their Quote is Happy!!

My policy was up for renewal and I didn't get the renewal invite. First I heard was a survey asking why I had left them! I renewed elsewhere as I couldn't contact them by phone. When they finally replied to my email it was to say they were using an old email as that was the one they had for contact - however, the survey came to the correct address so it's just not true, I had changed it. No apology, nothing. Would not recommend.

Unbelieveably difficult to renew insurance which I was doing online. Took me 4 hours and kept returning to same page. Given details numerous times as a new and existing customer. still returned me to 'you already have insurance with us'. I cannot spend all this time online so had to go elsewhere.

No contact telephone number. No matter what you need them for its all done via email and they take up to 48 hours to reply and then it take may emails to try and sort things out. Surely after one email a person could phone and speak to you !!! I had a problem with my renewal and waited days when I only wanted to pay with my credit card. The website for some reason wouldn't let me pay. A simple phone call for me to pay over the phone would have solved the problem. After days of my car having to be left uninsured on the driveway as I count pay the renewal because of a glitch on the website I had to insure with another company. Days without my car all for the sake of someone phoning me to take payment.. Avoid totally
