Marker study as a third party insurer are just as bad

I was involved in an RTC with a Markerstudy insured HGV on 22/09/2014. As I write this review, on the 4/1/2016, Markerstudy have still ignored all reasonable requests for settlement. My insurer are now adding costs because they have to litigate. That cost gets covered in everybody's premium, and it's downright unlawful.

Liability was decided over a year ago, but only after I had to submit a Data Protection Act Subject Access Request to the company operating the HGV to obtain the footage from the dashboard CCTV they were relying on for their defence (defence... They ran into the rear of my vehicle at nearly 50mph), to find it had been malfunctioning for over 6 months. Convenient that I was taken by ambulance to the local hospital and didn't get the chance to speak to the police, or I would have been certain the driver was texting.

Even my claim handler at my own insurer checked who the insurance company were and then let out a groan, as if this is commonplace.

We all pay our insurance to receive a service. Although I pay no premium to Markerstudy, the insurance industry as a whole should stand up against these delays and backhand tactics to attempt to shirk responsibility.

Markerstudy, get your act together or you'll be receiving a formal complaint from me, somebody not even insured with you.
