I have used this company a number of times pre=pandemic for my travel insurance (over 80) and always found them very professional, knowledgable and helpful. This time however (Feb. 2022) I was told they had been taken over by another company and the experience was completely different. My enquiry intitially was handled by a lady who was obviously reading from a script and had to keep referring to a collegue who I suspect weas readign from another script. After about 15 minutes of this I was told that they could not accept me as I was waiting to receive an NHS hearing aid. When I enquired how this was going to affect my health while I was on holiday they were unable to provide any explaination. A classisc example of "the computer says NO". I was was later rung by their sister company Staysure who graciously offered to provide me with insurance. By this time I had had enough and "politely" refused their offer. Well done. That's the way to lose customers.

They were OK first time I used them for car insurance, quite compettive but year on year my quote went up so I jumped ship. They offer me £600 for my renewal. I managed to get my car insurance with Admmirals for £300. To ring them on the phone is a 20m waiting queue and no call back service = joke. Avoid at costs.

One star because the option of zero isn't possible. They lure you in with cheap prices but BEWARE!! If you don't check the small print you are likely to find that they've sold you something that doesn't match the original requirements. When challenged they don't respond, refuse to cancel policy despite being within 14 day period and don't refund so you are stuck with an inferior product. The financial ombudsman service can't help until 8 weeks from the date of you complaint so if you are short of cash you can't buy an alternative product whilst fighting for your money back.

Holiday insurance, simple one might think for a week away with medical conditions covered . Insurance Choice came up on a Google search so ,phone them I did and ended up buying a policy for myself ( medical conditions covered) and my wife. So paid the £56.80 to them and awaited the documents to arrive ( via email ) which they did a bit later. Browsing through the Terms and Conditions It struck me it wasn't really the right policy for us and emailed them next day to say I would like to cancel the policy and be refunded the money paid I imagined this would be strait forward as were were not travelling for another two weeks . Yes I could cancel but the costs incurred would be £35, so my refund was not £56 .80 but £21. 80 ! It was ( they said ) clearly pointed out verbally and in the schedule . I don't remember any verbal warning and only had access to the doc's after buying. So be very very careful with this team. Very!

I have been a customer with them for the past 4 years since i converted my van into a motorhome, now i have got akward staff stating that i have to prove that i had insurance with them to get my 4 years non claims bonus! I got 3 years ncb last year i told them and asked them to add this years ncb but got no answer so i wrote to the manager because of their supervisor. I found cheaper insurance elsewhere and they couldn't beat their price inclusive roadside recovery, legal assistance, they're not competitive just said too cheap, thats their answer! I sent several emails and phoned a few times but they're only interested in new customers taking out policies not giving a customer service, they've a automated phone service before you get through to them and then put you on hold and waiting too long before you hang up!They use Equity Red star rubbish policies and Highway which is better but i wouldn't trust them again to buy any insurance! To think this is a specialist insurance broker for motorhomes is ridiculous, they are always a hassle to get them to provide green card for driving abroad they always want to know the dates and where you are going!I will be reporting them to the financial Ombudsman.

Disgusting level of customer service. The people are a complete joke. Everytime i Had an issue, they would speak in a rude and non-professional manner. One agant actually said to me that he cant sort out my problem as his shift finishes soon. On average i had to wait at least 20 minutes to speak to someone. I get the impression that this company is small and have no idea what they are doing most of the time.

£60 to retype an address into a computer? Don't bother.

On the one occasion that I have had to use my breakdown insurance the service was excellent. The lady who took my call was reassuring and soon had a recovery vehicle with me. The recovery operative was first class. Excellent value for money. My gripe is the renewal system!!!! I received a reminder (no problem) and phoned to renew my policy (no problem) and received the renewal confirmation. Since then I have had countless e-mails reminding me that my policy is due for renewal on October 17th 2015. I have phoned and told them the computerised renewal system is faulty, but still the reminders come. I have e-mailed and told them the computerised renewal system has a fault and had NO RESPONSE. I am so frustrated with Insurance Choice that I will pay more and go elsewhere, rather than have this continual hassle.

AVOID!!!! I only gave 1 star as it wouldn't let me give 0. On a £495 camper van policy they attempted to take £147.32 for cancelling early - why did I want to? because they wanted to charge £175 for moving up the road (Asda car insurance charged us nothing for the same move!!). They also took £10 for not signing the finance contract (one month after I had cancelled the policy) They continue to take money out of your bank after you cancel the policy and they never send you anything to tell you how much the fee actually is. Then when you cancel the Direct Debit to stop them their finance company sends a bill for £25 in addition and finally tells you the sum that they are after. Well they may try but I am not going to pay. Ha Ha Go on send me the £40 fee letter that you threatened. ..I am searching out review sites now just to let everyone know.

I had tried various web sites and insurance brokers for the type of unoccupied home insurance I required. This type of insurance often has very limited cover or unrealistic requirements and I was finding the process frustrating. Insurance Choice quickly and politely found me what I wanted.

Just been caught the same way, I am sure nothing was said about £35 charge, but apart from being able to listen to original phone call there is no come back. Not very happy , will t use them again
