Booked Zitauto for the end of May 2013 on the recommendation of friends who had used their service a couple of years ago and the whole experience could not have been any better. After meeting the Zitauto rep on number 4 car park at Faro airport and signing a form, we were on our way in 5 minutes in a nice little car. There were no hidden extras and we only paid the price quoted with a promise to leave the car with the same amount of petrol in the tank as when we took it. We explained that we would be bringing the car back at about 6.30am on our departure day and was told that if the Zitauto rep had not arrived that early, don't worry just park the car up in the same spot from which it was collected and to leave the keys under the sun visor, what a trusting firm!
If you are going to hire a car in Portugal, don't bother with other car hire firms, just use Zitauto, and save yourself a lot of worry. I will definitely be using them again.
