I booked a car on RentalCars.com at Toronto International Airport. The company they booked on my behalf was at Budget. Unfortunately, some freaking stupid staff of RentalCars, put a different name (their name) instead of my name and it was a pre-paid booking. Budget didnt give me the reservation made by RentalCars because of the inconsistencies of the name. I ended up booking a new car. And I never got my refund back from RentalCars.com.

Why did u book a new car? i had made a mistake once, didnt get my car. all i did was call them and changed the name on the booking.
they even kindly emailed a copy of the new voucher to the rental location. seems to me like you didnt think of a solution, very simple. been using them a few times now and they are good. Yes, the people on the phone are sales people, but mistakes can be made as long as they are solved.
