“DONT drive with Prima Rent a Car!”

Think twice before concidering to rent a car from Prima Rent a Car. This company seems really really nice and they tell you they have the besrt service but this is NOT the true. I have used the company I'm a real costumer and below what the have told me and my answer to this: We are not car hire brokers NOT AT ALL = The best and fastest Malaga Airport Service VERY POOR = Own fleet of vehicles THIS IS OK = Fair fuel policy : Full/Fulll NOT CORRECT - Clear and honest price policy VERY POOR = Home and Hotel Car delivery THIS IS OK = Open 365 days a year NOT AT ALL = Special Conditions for frequent clients TO be hornest Prima Rent a Car in Malaga Spain screw totally up my stay in Spain. THey makes a lot of promises but fail within all. THe worst thin bout this car comapany is that they are so few and they don't want to deliver anything when it really matter. To give you my story short: I rent a small car named OPEL CORSA ECO at Prima Rent a Car in Malaga. This rental car store in Spain looks pretty good and they where really nice the first day but no discount - but I can go with that. The woorst thing is that I end up to cancel my flight and even have to pay several hundres of Euro more cause they did NOT offer me any kind off service cause I have to take a flight early in the morning (7:00 from Malaga Airport). After a lot of talk (email and phone) Prima Rent a Car reject first all and then they offer me to pick up the car within to short time and they actually knew that this was impossible for me, cause I was around 90 km away from Prima Rent a Car location in Malaga versus Marbella where I live 30 km away from! I end up to cancel my flight (around 100 euro extra to have a new) and then I have to use time to cancel all my agreements and time to setup all the news again and some are not still finished. They talk a lot but they really deliver a POOR POOR car rental service and I would NOT recommend this company to any going to rent a car in the south part of Spain.

“False charges ”

Do not use this company I hired car 14/5-23/5 good service and car delivered car back to airport prima rep was asked to check car by myself advised car no issues...I knew there wet none!! Arriving back this week received email informing charge 100 euro for DAMAGE....they will not return call, answer call or reply to email ....SHAM STAY AWAY!!

Dear Madam : First of all sorry for not putting on public display the answer to this matter before, but we had no knowledge of this claim being put on this site until now.
Just as an update we would like to point out that the matter was solved some months ago and the moneis have been returned, as you already know.
The reason as you know was and admin mistake since another car of our fleet with similar number plate had had a damage that day.
Again we apologice for this, and refer to the other reviews on this site, google, and tripadvisor to give a realistic view of our company and services.

“Good service, fair price”

After searching internet, I decided to hire a car from Primacar. I needed a car to go to Granada (from Malaga). Strange enough, hiring a car in Malaga center or the railwaystation was almost twice as expensive as renting at the airport. So I decided to take the bus to the airport, get the car and return it at the airport 2 days later (1 hour before our plane left). The website mentioned the number of kilometers was unlimited for rental periods of 7 days or more. On my question by e-mail on how many kilometers were included for shorter rental periods, within an hour I received the respons (350 km per day). Getting the car went smoothly: the fuel tank was filled, a few scratches on the car were marked already on the form and I could leave very fast. There was no need for copying drivers license or passport, just filling out the numbers was enough. Returning the car was just as easy: a quick check on fuel level and a quick look at the car was enough.

“Convenient for Malaga Seaport”

First time i used this company. Have used other Rental companies before but always from Málaga Airport. Since this was my first time arriving in Málaga by boat, this was very convenient. Obviously there must be cheaper options out there, but the cruise terminal is quite away from the city. If you are only staying for the day with your ship and want to make a trip to granada or sevilla this is the best solution for saving time. Only make sure you book in advance, because when the boat enters the port it can get very busy at the terminal. :-)

“Fight for deposit”

Exhausted emailing back and forward following holiday in malaga in August and October, really disappointing having to fight to have deposit returned on each occasion. They inform you it has been processed however checking your account alas no credit however debit is processed on time. Such a let down as everything else went smoothly. Administration team real let down for this business! Need to fix this element for customers and will make difference to service provided.

“Beware Prima Rent a Car”

Our cruise-ship was to dock in Malaga, Spain from 8am to 7pm on January 24, 2013, and the only practical way to visit the Alhambra Palace 130km away in Granada was to rent a car for our party of 4. I booked the car on the Prima Rent a Car website, and also called them later to confirm that they had the reservation. In addition to the 64 euros for the car, I was to be charged an extra 20 euros for pick-up and drop-off at the seaport. I also ordered a GPS for 8 euros. I wanted to take every precaution so that we could visit Alhambra and make it back to the ship by 6:30pm. We scheduled the car pick-up for 8:15am, and expected to be met by an agent holding a placard with our name on it. To our consternation there was no agent, nor was there anyone manning the Prima Rent a Car kiosk in the parking lot outside the ship. After several frantic phone calls with the help of a very kind tourist hostess at the seaport, a Prima agent finally showed up at 9:15. He said that he had not been informed about our reservation and had to start all the paperwork from scratch. The agent's helper programmed the GPS for Alhambra per my request. It was almost 10am by the time we set out for Granada, anxious that we might not make the 12 noon time-slot for our scheduled admission to the palace. The drive was beautiful, but imagine our surprise when we arrived in Granada and were suddenly directed by the GPS to turn left and go 70 kilometers! We wasted another 15 minutes driving around Granada and getting help from the locals to reach Alhambra. After a lot of anxiety we arrived breathless at the palace with barely 5 minutes to spare. Needless to say, the GPS was worse than useless on the way back, costing us extra time and gas money. I complained to Prima Rent a Car and they refunded the 20-euro surcharge for the seaport pick-up and drop-off. They said they would refund the 8 euros for the malfunctioning (?incorrectly programmed) GPS, but 6 weeks later I have still not received the refund, despite at least 3 long-distance conversations during which [name removed] , apparently one of the owners, repeatedly promised to make the refund. All-in-all, our experience with Prima Rent a Car was nerve-racking and disappointing.

“PRIMA Rent A Car, Malaga”

I like this company. There are no extra costs. Everybody was so friendly. I like them a lot. The cars are clean and in a good codition. I didn't have to wait for a shuttle bus. I never had some problems. They also have a 24 h emergency phone number. I really can recommend this company. With the car I was at Malaga, Ronda, Marbella, Nerja, Granada, Cordoba, Antequera, Sevilla, Tarifa, and Cádiz.

“I never rented a car in Spain before (this was the...”

I never rented a car in Spain before (this was the second time I visited the country). Together with my wife we decided to make a trip to Andalucia and we hired a car at Prima Rent A Car. We were very satisfied with how easy it was hiring the car, we didn´t have to wait for a shuttle bus while the people from Prima Rent a Car escorted us to the car. There is a large variety of cars available for hire and the prices are amongst the cheapest you can find. Top that off with excellent personal service and you have a great deal right there!
