Customer service - none existent, professionalsim - if only.
To start with I booked online and when I arrived to pick up the car the Hertz centre was not even there, let alone open. I had to make my own to to the nearest one, in Russell Square, London, where I was confronted by a branch manager who's attitude was that it 'was not his problem as I had not booked with him'
I BEG TO DIFFER MATE'!!!
It may not have been him personally but as a representative of Hertz I did!
After much wrangling and complaining I managed to get a far lesser quality car which I accepted begrudgingly as it was Friday afternoon and had I not then I fear my trip would not have gone ahead at all.
To add insult to injury they over charged me and without any prior warning took an additional £60 from my credit card. I only found this out because I suspected the amateurs would do so and checked the invoice on line.
That was on June the 7th 2013. I complained immediately after I returned and to date have yest to recieve any response excluding the automated one.
STAY WELL AWAY, THESE PEOPLE ARE UTTERLY INEPT.
