Avis Car Hire Review

We rented car from Avis in Aarhus,,Denmark. On return, we were shown a photo, only after we were inside the airport of two cigarette buts on the floor of the drivers side. We were a party of two families who do not smoke!! However they would not listen. The lady said she could not smell smoke but she had evidence. We told her when we rented the car, there were other papers and tissue from previous people left in the car so it was not cleaned properly. It was obvious the cigarettes were probably under seat and were not seen. The lady was so rude and would not let us speak to manager who apparently was not there!! There were no marks or cigarette burns but we were charged £120. When we contacted Manager he told us he would inspect the car and call us back but we have not had that call yet and when we call he is never in. Beware of using this company!! We will never use Avis or Budget again. I am sure they are now the same company anyway which figures! We always use Hertz and will do so from now on. I would suggest to everyone to fully inspect car before leaving.
