The first time I used this company it was a bit messy and awkward but there prices were good so decided to use them again. Had booked a car from Gatwick, I was aware it would be off airport location, as instructed I rang them prior to meeting up(I rang them from Victoria station before I got on the train to Gatwick) and they said they would meet me at the agreed time and place.
30 minutes after the agreed time I rang them to ask where they were and was told that there were no cars available, I explained that I had already booked and paid for it and asked why on earth I wasnt told this 2 hours ago when I rang. The chap said there was a mix up, he said that if I hired a car from the airport, they would reimburse me the costs.
I inquired at the airport and as it was just before the holiday break the prices were 4 fold! So I decided that 121 were not the sort of company I would trust in this matter and had to cancel half my trip.
Once I returned home, I contacted the company many times before receiving a rely, they said that that the person who authorised this had no right to and that they would not reimburse me any of the promised hire car costs.. this was before I had a chance to tell them I did not hire another car, but was just after a refund of my initial payment. They went on to say that that I did not show up for my initial car hire and therefore no refund is applicable. When I asked to speak to the person who originally arranged the meet up and authorised the extra costs, they said he no longer works there.

I did some further investigations and these people should be given a very wide berth.

My advice is to pay the extra 20-30% and use a well known company.
